When Pigs Fly

003

I am pretty sure you can all agree with me when I say that stampers are the kindest bunch.  Every year my friend and fellow stamper sends out a pig of some sort on March 1st.  Pigs have a special meaning to her.  This year was no different.  She always has a creative way to send it too.  I opened my mailbox on March 1st and this is what I saw.

This year she sent her flying pigs in a little white mailbox.  It was all taped up with flying piggy tape.

This little flying pig has been around the world many times.  He is solar powered and is like the energizer bunny all day.  He keeps flying and flying.  I just love it.

I sent her this to thank her along with a little flying pig for her garden...

This was all created with my Silhouette Cameo.  The Thank You tag was a freebie.  I am sorry I don't remember which site was offering it.  The pig is cut in white then in pink for the overlay.

Thank you Lorraine for always making me feel special.

Fixer2

This week the Teapot Tuesday over on Splitcoaststampers was for a friend of mine here in NC.  She loves to garden and has a woodworking shop. I remember the first time we met and she told me all about the class she took for woodworking. She was the only female in the class.  She has created toys for fundraising auctions with what she learned in the class.  She is fighting the fight of cancer right now.  Her faith will get her through this.

Fixer3

I thought this little sweetie from Mo's Digital Pencil called The Fixer was perfect.  I cut the fence and sun out with my Silhouette Cameo.  I hope she feels all the love the teapotters are sending her way this week.

Have a fabulous weekend my friends.  75 degrees here so I will be in my garden.

Blessed With Kindness

Kindness planted in the soil,
of another with a need...
Will one day blossom back to you,
a product of this spirit seed.   Kate Buxbaum-Prado.

Hey all my friends out there in cyber land.. I just wanted to check in and post a quick entry to show you how blessed I am in my life.   The following are not the best pictures but I am long over due in thanking so many during my recovery.  Look at all of the goodies I have received.

This beautiful blanket was hand knit by my friend Peggy.. It is gorgeous.  She has been a rock during this long road..I love the colors and the pattern is beautiful.  Thank you so much Peggy..

This sweet little angel, books, and cd came from my friend Cheryl.. I have read the books each night and the angel sits by my bed..:)  The music is my favorite as it has many of the same songs we sing at church.. I can't wait to get back to church..Thank you so much Cheryl..

I was blessed also with so much happy mail.  Not only did it make me happy it made my son happy too. He was in charge of opening each envelope and he did it with such care..There are 40 cards here..

This next project is probably one of the most touching things.. It is a card shower called the road to recovery. Cindy Motherway organized this.. She hosts the Teapot Tuesday challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  The teapotters got together and created all these beautiful cards.  Each and every card has a flower...(My Splitcoaststamper's screen name is flowergal36)  They wrote a personal message on the back of each of their creations.

There are 57 different cards on the ring.. Is this incredible or what.. I think I need some lessons from all these floral stampers.. This is an amazing act of kindness from so many different stampers.  A huge thank you goes out to Cindy for organizing all of this.. She is the best.

This gift came in a box full of other goodies.. I am in awe of this ladies talent.. My friend Michelle's mom created this gorgeous table runner for me.  It is reversible.. One side is Christmas the other side is snowmen.. It is all so perfectly stitched..  They have blessed and enriched my life in so many ways..
Lastly, I would love to thank all those that sent flowers.. I wish I had felt well enough to photograph them.  I appreciate my Flourishes Design Team for all their support, cards and flowers too.
Thank you to all of you that called me, emailed me, and surrounded me with prayer.  I think the prayers are what guided me safely through this time.  I am so blessed to have all of you in my life and I know that it made such a huge difference in this recovery.. I am so happy to report that my test results came back as cancer free and I just have to be watched very carefully.. Thank you SO MUCH... I have so much to be thankful for this holiday season.
