Saturday Spotlight Challenge

SSHPLarge

I created this card for the Saturday Spotlight challenge this week.  We
were challenged to use LARGE stamps, images, cards etc..Anything that
is on a larger scale.  This is the reason I LOVE digis.  You can resize to
whatever size you want.  I chose this image from Squigglefly called
Snowman in the Moon.  This digi is by Cheryl Alger. I just love her
snowmen.  I covered up the moon with my blanket stitched felt heart.

I wanted to practice my green copics so that is why this card is so bright..
I used my own "challenge" for the month by using the blanket stitch.  I
challenge myself each month to learn something new..

This week's Challenge Information:

Vicki  our fearless leader is having computer issues and will be back up and
running next week...Just wanted to let everyone know she will be back soon.

Bring On The Sun

It's Saturday Spotlight time...This week we were challenged to make
a card that let the SUN shine in...Nothing better than a bright sunny
day for bikini weather..LOL
As soon as I saw the challenge I thought of this bikini card I learned
to make at a Stampin Up Stamp Camp a few years ago.. I used creamy
carmel cardstock and then found some  yellow polka dotted designer
paper in my stash. Used my circle and flower punches to make the
bikini.  I took some ribbon and braided it for the straps.  Of course
I had to give her a little belly bling..

Here is the info for this week's challenge:

The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to LET THE SUNSHINE IN!!  Since we want to be done with all those wild snowflakes from last week, we thought this week we would ask you to get your bright colors or use mostly "yellow" or monochromatic yellow for your creations this week!
(The theme fits perfectly with our sponsor for this week!)

For our Spotlight sponsor this week we have...

Here's the rest of this amazing team's creations..

Heart Less

use

It's Saturday Spotlight time again...I love this challenge.  This week Vicki
challenged us to create a card with a LOVE theme but using NO Hearts.
This could be for valentines, wedding or any love type of occasion.

I chose these adorable images from Mo's Digital Pencil Too.  This is Sam's
In Trouble. BIG trouble. I also merged Honey Greeting (the dog) in with Sam to
help in the clean up. These are two seperate images and I used my friend
Holly's  video to do this..Check it out HERE.

My son actually did this when he was little.  I think he thought that if he
put I LUV U mom and dad would not be so upset. It worked.

Our sponsor this week is Donna's Den of Crafts..

So grab your stamps, paper, and creativity and join us for challenge # 13 at

Calendar Creations at Saturday Spotlight

Saturday SpotlightCalendar

This week for the Saturday Spotlight we were to create anything that had a
calendar.. The details are below.. I created my calendar with the help of a
VERY kind SCSer named Cat..She has many different types of calendars and
she generously has updated them all for 2010. I could not have created
this project without her help. If you would like to check it out HERE is the
post she has on SCS..Leave her some love if you use her templates.  She
has many different designs.  You just need to go to SCS and click on Forums/Stamping
Stuff/Downloads/Templates.  She created this one so that you can stamp
on the side. Thanks so much Cat for all your help..

This image is from  Squigglefly and is called Catching Snow.. He is so cute.  He is
illustrated by Cheryl Alger.

A huge shout out to my hubby that made the calendar holder for me.. I was
stumped on how I was going to display my calendar.. I saw a similar one over
at Taylored Expression.. My hubby came in from his workshop and had created
one and surprised me.. He's a keeper. He keeps asking me if I posted this yet.
I think he is as excited as I am.

The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to go CRAZY with calendars!
Whether you decided to make a coaster calendar, a calendar notebook,
an easel card with a miniature calendar, tear up your old 2009 calendar
for some collage background pieces or get out your calendar stamps/images
and just use one month for inspiration....we would love to see you get into
the calendar craze with us!  Check out the Diva's creations HERE..

Our sponsor this week is Bee Crafty.  You can visit the store HERE.

Saturday Spotlight Challenge 11

SSHP11DawnB2.b
I created this card for the Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential Challenge this week.  The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil..  The template for this stocking is from
Whimsie Doodles.. She has some terrific templates.  My favorite music is old Christmas Hymns.. The kind you sing in church on Christmas Eve.  In general I like oldies music too but at Christmas time I look forward to the music that reminds us of the reason for this season.

For this week's challenge.....

The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to create something with the music in your soul! What do we mean? What is your favorite style of music? Is it country, rock, opera, Christmas music, or the oldies? Whatever your "music style", show us what it is on your creations! E.g.: Use a cowboy image for "country music", etc....get creative with it! Perhaps you can just create a "musical masterpiece"!

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

For our Spotlight sponsor this week we have...

**One lucky winner from our challenge in Mister Linky this week drawn from random.org will receive these two fabulous images from the store!!** We got a combination of "country music" and the "beach boy" theme covered with these images!! LOL!!

Cathy from Paper Garden is graciously donating a store discount this week for the Saturday Spotlight readers. Check the Spotlight blog for the special code!!

Now how cool is THAT?!! Hurry and go shopping!!

Cathy has also created a special card JUST for this challenge too!! Go to the Saturday Spotlight blog to check it out along with all the other Spotlight Diva creations!! :)

So what do you say?!! Sounds easy, right? I can't wait to see what you come up with!! Turn on those tunes, get out your crafty supplies and play along with us!! We're singing your song!!! :)

Saturday Spotlight Challenge 10

snowflakecard

It is time for another Saturday Spotlight challenge.. This week we were to add a flower to the card we created.. I am not good with flowers but then I remembered that my sweet friend MariLynn had created a tutorial for these quilled roses.. She is so good at quilling. Here is the tutorial we did together on my blog...ROSES

I colored this image with copics first and then added my prisma pencils on top.  Here is a picture of the quilled rose up close.  I added some glitter to the edges.

I used this adorable image from Inktegrity. She has some really cute digi images. Create a Christmas card with a flower on it and add it to Mr Linky for your chance to win a gift certificate to Inktegrity.

Have a great stamping day,

Punched Santa

I am still on automatic post today.. I am sadly driving my daughter's back to IL today.  My niece and sister flew back last night..  I miss them already.

This was created for Saturday Spotlight Challenge #9.  Create a card in the shape of a hat, an image with a hat or something to do with hats.  Santa has a hat right???  This is my second Santa card but this time I used a hexagon shape.

Also counts for Crazy 4 Challenges this week.. Punch Happy.  I used many punches on this card..
Here is my ornament from last week.  This was so easy.  It is a digital sentiment that I printed onto fabric then I cut out using nesties.  I stitched around the edges and then stuffed it a bit and finished stitching it up.. The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe.

Wrinkles

It's Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential time... This week Vicki challenged us to create a masterboard.. Stamped it in black then colored over it with copics.  Added hearts in red.. This adorable image is from Digital Ink Co. called Wrinkles The Bulldog.. Digital Ink Co is the sponsor for this week's challenge.. All you have to do is created a masterboard (your own Designer Paper) and show us your creation for a chance to win..

Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential

This weeks challenge over at Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential Vicki challenged us to make a treat container.  I chose this triangle container.  I used my new There She Goes Stamp set Spooktacular Silhouettes

I sponged the green, yellow and orange ink onto glossy cardstock first. Then I scored all of my lines and then stamped with STAZON onto my cardstock.. By doing it this way I was able to create a better scene..
Here is a link to a tutorial that Beate did.. TRIANGLE BOX

Well, that's it for my creations ... NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!! Be sure to DIRECT LINK your creation to Mr. Linky over on our Challenge Blog and when uploading to other online galleries, please use the keyword SSHP04. Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential Challenge

I am really excited about all the awesome creations the DT came up with for Vicki's Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential challenge.  We were to create a Halloween Card without Halloween images.  I chose this adorable little Whipper Snapper Dog playing with toilet paper. He is a RAK from a sweet friend.  I thought he looked like he had mummy potential. I colored him with prisma pencils and added sparkling H20s to highlight.  Come join the fun.  You could win a gift certificate .
I also had the pleasure of meeting my DT friend Darlene (akronstamperdpk) IRL.. We had such a great time..5 hours worth of chatting..LOL. She was in town visiting and we had dinner together.
