Banana Split Sunday

2RB1262

This week's Featured Stamper on SCS is my awesome friend Michele.. I am dedicating this
card to her.. Her and I share a love for prisma pencils.. We have asked each other a million questions about coloring...We also share a love for farms and lots of kids..
It's time for Banana Split Sunday.. This week we were to create a card that reflected "warmth"  This image is so sweet and I think there is nothing warmer than a hand knitted hat and slippers.  The flower that adorns the corner is a RAK from my sweet sweet friend Sabrina.  She sent me a little purse with these crocheted flowers.. I thought they were perfect for this card.. The bling in the middle of the card is from my friend Jennifer.  She sent me a huge envelope of faux dew drops from Michael's floral dept.  I crocheted the top ribbon with some cotton thread. Colored with copics and prisma pencils.   Come join the fun over at 2RedBananas.  This stamp is available at the 2RedBananas Store.

Banana Split Sunday

It's Sunday and time for Banana Split Sunday.. My favorite day of the week.  I am away from my computer so I hope this posts.  This week's challenge is a color challenge.  We are to use the colors purple, orange and black.  This adorable bear reminded me of a bear cub I saw along the road in the mountains last week when we were driving home.  He was so cute.. I am sure his momma was not far away.. Everyone was slowing down to look. I have never seen one like that up close.  Anyway.. this adorable stamp is a new release over at 2RedBananas Store.  It has some awesome sentiments that go with it.. Come join the fun..

Banana Split Sunday

It's Banana Split Sunday over at 2RedBananas.  The best day of the week if you ask me.. This week's challenge is to use a recipe.. 1 ribbon, 2 stamps, 3 brads, dewdrops or gems.  I used the new August /Sept. Journaling  Spot for my lines behind my punched pumpkin and the sentiment comes from the Fuzzy Bear set. They are both new releases for September.

I added a pumpkin on the inside too.  This pumpkin was so easy to make.  Use your oval punches, sponge and add a punched heart for the stem and small strips of paper for the tendrils... Come join the fun.

Banana Split Sunday

I created this card for the 2Redbanana's Banana Split Sunday.. Isn't this image ADORABLE. It is a sneak peek at a new release. I colored him with copics and then highlighted with prisma pencils. If you have not tried this do.. It is such an amazing way to get some depth in your color. Plus the prismas blend so nicely on the copics. Don't do it the other way around. The wax on the pencils will ruin your copics.. Ask me how I know.

This weeks challenge is a sketch. I posted a little early. Go check it out.

Banana Split Sunday

Created this card for 2RedBanana's blog challenge. The theme this week is "And I Quote". Use a quote on your card. I love this soft blush paper. I have never used blush on a card. I also cased a layout for the Featured Stamper over on Splitcoast. This week the FS is Teresa Klein. I also used a tutorial for my flower that I saw in Linda Dukes blog.

Have a great Sunday. Come join in the fun over at 2RedBananas. The prize for this week is a More Quotes Set. The stamp I used today is a More Quotes Set from the July Release. I love it. There is a great sale starting tomorrow at 2RedBanana's store...
Have a great Sunday.

Banana Split Sunday

Today is Banana Split Sunday. This week we have a fun challenge for you. Reduse and reuse for your card creation. I chose the More Quotes Set to create my card. I love this set. It has some great quotes. I then chose a newspaper article from my local newspaper. I sponged and grunged around the edges. I then added my newspaper flower embellishment. To create this flower I used my SU circle scallop punch. I punched from the newspaper 8 scallops. I stapled them in the middle. Snipped into the center all the way around. Then scrunched it up with my hand into a ball. Carefully unfolded and viola.. a flower. I sponged a bit around the edges. The little bit of wire bling is a left over from a wedding I attended. These were on the table center pieces. Don't worry. I asked the bride first before I packed it in my suitcase..LOL.

Come join us for the fun....

BANANA SPLIT SUNDAY

I am honored and so pleased to be asked to be a guest designer for 2RedBananas. I created this card using a new set that will be available July 15th. It is called July Journaling Spot and I LOVE it. We just recently moved closer to the ocean and I find so much inspiration at the beach. I created this scene with Baja Breeze and Creamy Caramel inks. I embossed the image panel with Chocolate Chip Craft ink and clear embossing powder. I used my distress stripes embossing folder for the back panel. This sentiment has got to be one of my favorites.

Here is the sketch we were to use. I left off the embellishments and added the seashells at the bottom instead.

Come join in the fun over at the 2RedBanana's blog.
