Why not leave some love on her blog HERE and then start to hop on through the Flourishes team members who are honoring her special day! Happy Birthday Jan Marie!
Happy Birthday Jan2

I used the set called Let Them Eat Cake.. This was my first official set as a Design Team member.  I used this set one year ago today for my very first post. I feel so blessed to be among the talent on this team but most of all I appreciate the friendships here. Happy birthday Jan Marie.. I hope your day is filled with many blessings. I  chose Flourishes
"signature" colors for my card..

Happy Birthday Jan.

I stamped my image on Flourishes Watercolor Paper with ink and embossed so I could watercolor the frosting.  I used the Black Mosaics for embellishments on top of my ribbon. I added a little rolled flower to the top.
Don't forget our Gamblers Sale.. All sale items are being discounted more and more each week..

Now check out what the rest of all the Flourishes teams have created in honor of

Flower Garden

Flowerso.

It is time for another Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  This week our challenge is to
create card card with spring colors and handmade flowers..
I chose Ben watering his sprout. .
I created my flowers with fabric sewing some yoyos.  I used a flower pot template I found on Splitcoaststampers.

FlowerFinished.

I then attached all my flowers to my card insert.  I created the sentiment on my computer next to my image.  Colored with copics..

Flowersclosed.

Then I inserted my little guy inside my pink flower pot.. This was such a fun project.  I really enjoyed combining fabric and stamping..

Layers Of Color Cake Hop

Pie1.

Welcome to the Layers of Color Cake Slice Blog Hop.  You should have arrived here from
Beatriz's blog.  This is my creation for the hop.. I chose to make
my cake slice so it opens on the top rather than the back.  I stuck a pair of
earrings inside for a birthday gift.
Pie 2.
For my cake slice I chose the Flutterescent set along with the Natural Flourishes
Art Stencil..  I found a beautiful Valentine spray on sale and wanted to add it to my cake.  I stamped the Flutterescent image twice, colored it with copics and cut it out.

Pie 3.
I sponged the sides of the of the cake slice with the Natural Flourishes
Art Stencil. I stamped the sentiment from the Flutterescent set and added some ribbon.

Then I decided to create a card to match the cake slice gift holder.
I used the same stamp set and  Art stencil...
Piecard'
Now you should hop on over to Diana's blog for your next slice.

Cottage Rose

Purple Roses.

Just a quick post today... I got the BUG and am not feeling well. I am hoping it gets better soon.  We have family coming to visit and I need my energy..:)

This is my last card for my guest designing at Layers of Color.  Don't forget about the Cake Decoration party tomorrow. It starts at 8 a.m.

For this card I used the Cottage Rose set.  I colored with copics and then held my breath as I cut it apart.  Kind of nerve wracking.  I stamped the leaves and cut them out and added them at the bottom.  Used my favorite ribbon and a stick pin..

Thank You

HelloHycInsert.

It's time for another Friday Focus over at Flourishes.  This week I chose to
use the newly released set Hello Hyacinth.. Don't forget that this is the last day to get your New Release Bundle Package at 10% off. I watercolored this image with some Tim Holtz reinkers.  I wanted to try the TLC over on Splitcoaststampers.  The challenge was to try this cute little folded card.

HelloHycClosed.

It took me several tries to get this right. I love it though.  You definitely have to use a thin sheet of paper and make sure the folds are really straight..

HelloHycOpen.

Then once you untie the ribbon you see your little card inside.

Want to give this a try??  Karen has an amazing and easy to follow video on her
blog.. Check it out HERE

Also...Don't forget that we are having a Christmas Spirit challenge over on Splitcoaststampers too.  Create a Christmas card using the colors Red, Pink and White.  You have until the end of February.  HERE are the details.   Create a card and upload to SCS for a chance to win a Flourishes Christmas stamp set.  Here is mine:

ChristmasChallenge2-1.

This card uses the Christmas Classics set.  I stamped on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock.  Colored with Flourishes Copic Poppy Collection set..

    SO Sorry Shawn

    SorryShawnVD'

It's Mo time.. This week Cathy's challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil is to create a card without using the traditional Valentine's day colors.. I could not for the life of me figure out what image to use.  Then I saw Sorry Shawn.  He looked like he was begging his girl for forgiveness on the big "heart" day.  I found this wonderful twine over at The Twinery.  I got a big bag of all different colors.  While I was there I saw them use the twine to write a word so that is what I did here.  Hope you will come on over and join the challenge.

It is in the 60s here and so nice.  I have all the windows open de-germing.  Hope you are all healthy and have a great rest of your weekend..

    Watercolored Hyacinth

This last week my son was really sick with the flu and he wanted me to sit with him.  I love it when that happens. :)  While I sat there I started thinking I need to watercolor an image.  I have not done that in awhile.  This is the newly released set from Flourishes.  I just love the Hyacinth image.  These are the most fragrant flowers.  My daughter had them in her hair one year for prom.  They were dipped in wax and oh my..

    FromDeskNW.

This second card was also watercolored.  I love the soft feel of this stamp.  My dad gave me the best birthday present ever.  All I asked for was for him to sit down and WRITE out his favorite memories.  It was 9 pages long and so special.  We have lost the art of handwriting anymore.  Here in North Carolina they don't even teach cursive writing at my son's school.  I will treasure my handwritten letter forever.

The crocheted heart is from my sweet design team friend Stacy.

This is the second set released from Flourishes called From The Desk Of.

You can find both sets HERE and don't forget about the New Release Bundle -- where you can get both sets bundled together at 10% off! The Flourishes DT is back with another creation showcasing these sets today:

    Flourishes New Release Day 2

Welcome to day two of Flourishes New Release.  Today we
are bringing to you the new set called From The Desk Of..
The design team has some amazing projects to show you so stay tuned.
    2.

I am starting with the card I created with this set.  I wanted to create a project for my step mom for her birthday.  She loves vintage so I went that route. I used the Basic Grey Curio paper.  Stamped my image on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock.
I added some Basic Grey Curio Buttons to the top of my card.  I love these buttons. I added some Natural Linen Ribbon

    FromTheDeskNOTE2

    .

Then I created some little note cards.  Of course her name is not Dawn Burnworth
but I wanted to protect the innocent.. :)  I created a RSVP pen with my designer paper to go with the little note cards.

    FromTheDeskof Cardbox.

Then I created a little holder to put it all together.  This is just a cake box (from my birthday cake yesterday) cut in half and covered with kraft paper and Basic Grey's Curio.
This was a fun project and a recyclable.

    Hycinthe2.

    Love One Another

It is week two of my guest design month over at Layers Of Color.  I am using the set
Flutterescent Butterflies for my project today.

    Butterflies Completed Open

I had been wanting to try one of these Explosion Boxes.  They are really easy and fun.
I stamped my butterflies multiple times, colored them and then cut them out.  I found a text digital paper and printed that out for my squares.   I then used Layers Of Color's Natural Flourishes art stencil with some soft pink ink and sponged it over the text.

I used one of my favorite verses.. I saw it printed like this on another website and
cased it in Photo Shop Elements.

This was a fun project. I gave it to a friend for her birthday.  A great way to give just a little something extra.  These butterflies are perfect for this type of project.  Thanks so much for visiting today.. Want to check out more Layers of Color stamps and  goodies. Visit them HERE.

    Love and Lace

    LOVEt

This week over on Mo's Digital Challenge blog the challenge is to create a card featuring LOVE with buttons, bows and lace.  I chose this sweet puppy love image called  Girl and Dog.

I colored with copics and primsa pencils.  Then added my ribbon, bow, and the button.  My lace is my heart doily. I figured it is lacy.  This adorable crocheted heart is from my sweet friend Holly Young.  She sent me a whole bunch of these and I have used half of them already.  I LOVE them bet you can't tell..:)

Come on and join the design team this week and see what you can create.  Check out all the talent on this team:

    Layers of Color Flutterescent

    Card1I

It is a privilege to be guest designing for Layers Of Color this month.  I will have a project each Tuesday to showcase here on my blog.

This past December I gave my daughters all a Vera Bradley travel bag with a pretty black and white design.  I wanted to start my Christmas gifts early this year so I made these luggage tags to go along with their bags for this next Christmas. I found these tags in the dollar section at Michael's Craft Store.  I took out the insert and stamped the butterflies from LOC's  Flutterescent Clear Stamp set. LOVE this set.  I colored them with copics and then re-inserted the newly stamped tags.

The card above is the card I will give them with their tags.  I love this sentiment and thought it was perfect for a "traveling" gift.  On the card I also used the Flutterescent set and then I used LOC's Natural Flourishes Art Stencil to add a bit of color to my main panel.  Hope they enjoy these creations.
