The Earth Laughs in Flowers

Welcome to Power Poppy's Free For All Friday.  I had some time this week to sit down and color up some images.  It always relaxes me.  I try to use old supplies that have not seen any love for ages.

This image is the newly released digital image from Power Poppy called Geraniums.  I could only wish mine looked this colorful.  We have had zero rain for months.  Even with the tropical storm that hit we didn't get a drop.  So I will have to dream through Power Poppy and Copics that my flowers are not brown.

I used R14, R22, R27, Y13 and Y15, YG03, and G94

Let Freedom Ring

We are having a fun little challenge over on the Power Poppy Blog...

Today the design team is creating a card based on the colors of their country.  Of course mine is Red, White and Blue as you can see.  I chose the Power Poppy set called Countryside Bouquet.  It is a newly released set that is digital.  I used Julie's tutorial to change to colors on my flowers and the sentiment.  The tutorial is fabulous and easy and can be found HERE...what a bummer that I was out of ink on my printer so the red is not the color I wanted but the possibilities are endless.

For all the info about the Patriotic challenge check out the Power Poppy Blog today.  Marcy is offering up some free digital sentiments and here are a sneak at the rules:

No matter where you live, use your country's colors as your theme! Marcy is going to offer up a free digi sentiment for those that want to use it. And here's how the challenge will work:

1 point for all Power Poppy entries
2 points if you use patriotic colors and a power poppy stamp
3 points if you use patriotic colors, a power poppy stamp and the freebie digi sentiment

It's time for the Power Poppy Blog Hop.  Today all of the Bloom Brigade will be showing off the newly released Power Poppy digital images.

I chose the Arranging Roses digital set for my card.  I kept it very simple.  I like to send my cards out to family and friends and with the cost of postage this keeps it more affordable.

I wanted to go with a red, white and blue theme here so I used some red and blue designer paper and a little touch of lace and bling.  Sorry my photo is not great.  Reds are hard to photograph.  The sentiment I chose is from the Countryside Bouquet set.  I just love this sentiment.

Countryside Bouquet

Welcome to day 3 of Power Poppies new release.  Isn't this amazing.  I love poppies.  They are one of my favorite flowers.  They plant them along the roads here in North Carolina and they are so vibrant.

I downloaded this image and let it dry for several days.  I do that when I know I will be using a lot of blending and saturation on a card.  I print it out on X-Press It paper.  My favorite.  I once again used the wrong sentiment on this card.  The sentiment above on the graphic is what comes with this stamp set.  I love digital because I can resize it to whatever I like.  Plus immediate satisfaction.  This set is available here:  Countryside Bouquet
