It's time for another Friday Focus over at Flourishes. This week I chose to
use the newly released set Hello Hyacinth.. Don't forget that this is the last day to get your New Release Bundle Package at 10% off. I watercolored this image with some Tim Holtz reinkers. I wanted to try the TLC over on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge was to try this cute little folded card.
It took me several tries to get this right. I love it though. You definitely have to use a thin sheet of paper and make sure the folds are really straight..
Then once you untie the ribbon you see your little card inside.
Want to give this a try?? Karen has an amazing and easy to follow video on her
blog.. Check it out HERE.
Also...Don't forget that we are having a Christmas Spirit challenge over on Splitcoaststampers too. Create a Christmas card using the colors Red, Pink and White. You have until the end of February. HERE are the details. Create a card and upload to SCS for a chance to win a Flourishes Christmas stamp set. Here is mine:
This card uses the Christmas Classics set. I stamped on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock. Colored with Flourishes Copic Poppy Collection set..
Don't forget about our Gambler's Sale.. Check out all the goodies HERE.
Now...check out what the rest of the team came up with:
These are beautiful! Gorgeous colors and details.

Your folded card is amazing, am so loving the hyacinth stamps you are using. Beautiful christmas card and love the embossing you have used on the background
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling creation on both counts! It's been a while since I've done that card in a box but.. those are fun, aren't they? I did a card once and when you opened it up -- there was a packet of seeds for the recipient -- kind of addictive to make. Anyway... long story short -- fabulous job my friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever fold on your hyacinth card! Is there no end to what people will dream up? Gorgeous watercoloring. Such a rich and pretty purple. I just LOVE your cardinal card, too! I so admire your cute idea for tying the ribbons on each end of the oval. The pink and red are very pretty on a Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome! That first fold is amazing and as always, your coloring is out of this world!
ReplyDeleteYour hyacinth card is GORGEOUS! I can't imagine that anyone could make a card prettier than that! Untie the pretty ribbon and it's even more lovely inside. The red cardinal against the snowy white background is sweet too:) Beautiful images of spring and winter. Kathy
ReplyDeleteYour first card is totally fun and something I've never seen before. And I love the cardinal Xmas card. The red and white remind me so much of how beautiful it is when you see a cardinal outside in the snow in winter.
