The Earth Laughs in Flowers

I was totally inspired by Marcella's post last Thursday. What's in your windowsill? You can check it out here:  Power Poppy Blog

It reminded me that I that last fall I had planted some tulip bulbs in honor of my mom's birthday.  She would have been 72 so I planted 72 bulbs. I ventured out to see if they had poked through with all our warm weather here in NC.

Sure enough they are imerging.  I am so excited.  It is like she is reminding me that she is here.

I had a few extra so this graces my window sill. It is my hope that they will bloom by Easter.  Wouldn't that be so special.

I chose Power Poppies Tulip Set.  It is available for download upon purchase HERE.
I love this sentiment and thought it was perfect for my newly planted tulip garden.  It is from Power Poppies digital set called Geraniums.  It is available for purchase HERE.
Don't forget that there is a new challenge called Power and Spark and it is  over on the Power Poppy Blog.

Now check out what these fabulous Bloom Brigade ladies have for you this week:

  2. This is just fabulous! I love your coloring & I don't know anyone who can tie beautiful bows as well as you do! I hope you will share the photos once your tulips all pop up! What a wonderful tribute to your mom! I used to have them across the entire front of my house & one winter I had a gas leak outside & the utility company came in & tore up the whole front destroying all my bulbs! I've never replanted, but you may have inspired me this fall to try again.

  3. The coloring on these iris's is fabulous. They look real enough to take them right off the paper.
