Sunny Harvest

Welcome to day 2 of the Power Poppy new release.  Sunflowers are another way to usher in the fall season.  I have so many that are blooming in my garden right now.

Bittersweet and Chinese lanterns.  What a wonderful combination.  Bittersweet has a very special meaning to my family.  My dad has a patch he picks each fall and puts it on my mom's resting place on her birthday.  She always loved it and would decorate our house in the fall with the bittersweet we would pick and dry.

I stamped out my image onto X-Press it cardstock and colored it with the following Copic markers:

Y15,17,19, YR09, 04, R14,29, YG13, 25, B000

It is so difficult to photograph oranges and reds.  But they are my favorite colors.

Now check out what the Bloom Brigade has for you:

  2. This is another stunner! I adore bittersweet & Chinese lanterns too! I used to have both in my yard, but over the years, they died out. You captured both of them to perfection! And that button is perfect in size and color! Love the gingham bow!!!

  4. That is so special that your Dad always did that for your Mom, Dawn. I never knew what bittersweet was until we took a trip to see our daughter in Saratoga Springs, New York last October. It was at the Farmer's Markets and I fell in love with it. The only kind I have seen in Colorado is the manufactured stuff and it is not nearly as charming. I love your card...so deep and rich and full of Fall festivity. I really hope you are doing well and having a great summer, friend.
