Pug Love, Survey and Blog Candy

Pug Love2

I created this card for Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  This week the theme is to create a card with a Clean and Simple design.  That is up to your interpretation.  One layer and less embellishments is typically what CAS is all about.  This image is called Pug Love and is available at Mo's Digital Pencil store.

Personal Question...
I have loved creating this blog.  It has given me an outlet for my creativity but I think it is time for some changes. Quite honestly I think my blog has become boring.  If it is boring for me it must be boring for you also.  I have created a survey to help me make some decisions about my blog.  I am hoping (fingers crossed) that it works.  If not I will repost with my questions and offer up the same information.  If you would please take a few minutes to add your answers I would be so grateful.  If you have any suggestions just add them in the comment section. PLEASE BE HONEST.  I appreciate postive responses but also appreciate the ones that can help me grow.

BLOG CANDY CRITERIA
Once you are done if you would like to be in the running for my blog candy just leave me a comment below.  I am giving away (selected randomly from the comments) three $10 gift certificates to any online crafting sight of your choice.  I will close this poll on Wednesday January 18th, 2012 and give you all the results and the ideas I have going forward.  Thank you so much..

  5. Your card is adorable, Dawn! That pug is so cute and your coloring and clean style really bring him to life! I filled in your survey. I always love visiting your blog! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us once you've given it some thought and collected more feedback! Hugs! P.S. It's cold here, too, but maybe not as cold as there.

  7. Any pug owner would love this card :) Too cute.

Did the survey. You are such a pro at coloring would love to see how you do it - not that I have copics or the like, but always fascinated by your amazing skill and sure those who do colour would love some instights/tips :) Enjoy when you branch out and do non-coloured image cards too as that is my realm :)

I'm always up for a good read and love knowing about your life as it brings the cards to a much more personal level for me - plus I just love getting to know people better and finding out what makes them tick :) I'll stop before I provide you with a novel LOL! Have a great weekend (((hugs)))

  10. I love your beautiful creations, Dawn! And while my primary goal in following the blog of artists like you is to see and be inspired by your papercrafted creations, I do enjoy seeing other crafty creations. I'd love to see the kinds of things you are up to! And while I tend not to click into see bloggers' purely personal posts, I do enjoy reading about what's going on in my favorite bloggers' lives when these are wrapped in with their crafty posts. Good luck in your quest to revamp things!

I love when you post your sewing projects...they totally got me going to get out the sewing machine again. Was at the local fabric store today...and you were in my thoughts! Please post some of your sewing projects....they are soooo awesome! No pressure girl...no pressure!

  12. The pug is so cute! We had one growing up. I took your survey. What first attracted me to your blog was your beautiful coloring. I would love to see some tutorials on how you color. I always enjoy a view into a blogger's other craftiness or how they combine stamping into other crafts.

  13. First of all, I don't think your blog is boring! I look forward to all the wonderful things you post because you are always so creative & the cards are always beautiful. It would be fun to see what other crafts you do as well as I'm sure they are amazing too! I tried filling out the survey, but had no luck, so will add that I love personal comments, tutorials, both picture & video. Oh, and your pug card is just stunning!

  14. I love your card. I wouldn't change a thing about you or your blog. Both are perfect!!! I'm not real good about commenting. It's like how many ways can you say amazing, beautiful, awesome etc.

  15. Dawn, I love your blog. Part of our crafting comes from what else is in our lives. If your family has inspired you to create something, I'd love to read about it. It's who and what we are.
I love your coloring and use it to learn. What I do LOVE about your site is some of the stamp companies that you use. Your LABELS section,on the lower right, is so helpful to me. I usually browse this section for companies and certain stamps that may have been used.

The Pug is so darling. I love the way you colored him. See, it is cards like this that inspire me and teach me the basics of using markers or pencils. Thanks for all you do. Hope this was helpful.

  16. Well, Dawn...I follow you and come visit, first, because I consider you a friend, and secondly because you do have a beautiful, clean style that I love. However, I am always drawn to your coloring and any tips you could give with that would be welcome.
As you know, my blog is personal, and I love reading personal accounts, but it is up to you how much or little you share.
I just want you to express what you want here, it is your blog...and if you want to add more, do it! Recipes you share, books you're reading, whatever else you want to put here would be fun. My stamping is not all I am about, so I don't expect it is for anyone. Thankful for you and who you are...hope you know you are special!

  17. Though I primarily enjoy seeing your awesome papercrafting creations, I also enjoy an occasional personal story, picture, etc. which helps me get to "know" you better. I'm not very expressive or creative with words, so struggle with my blog...wishing my life was a little more exciting so I'd have something to share - lol. Well, I'm rambling here...just think it's good for all of us to evaluate our blog habits. :-)

  18. Dawn, glad a couple of you on the team know how to properly do a CAS card. This is beautiful and I love the colors and the simple beauty of it!!! Always a pleasure to come and see what you have created to show us :)

  21. Dawn - I think everything you do is amazing, including your blog. Its fun to switch it up, though, isn't it? My blog changes nearly daily. Kind of embarrassing how many times I've crashed it just tweeking it. Have fun. Whatever you decide, I know we'll love.

  22. I've always loved reading your blog. I visit often and am always so pleased by your creations. Of course we are all curiuos creatures and want to know more about you. Also love tutorials and would love to watch your coloring techniques!

  23. Not sure my survey answers really reflected what I want to say. I always find inspiration from your cards, style & techniques. Perhaps people visit, get inspired, change their own styles and then stop visiting because they've leanrt what they personally need. Then they get bored of their new sytle & find others to inspire. I think you're blog is perfect, perhaps you're bored & need to change your style for your own satisfaction...NOT for ours (hope this makes sense!) I love your blog & what you do, but it's your blog to share your creativity, life and thoughts. Change for YOU and not Us! xxx

Another gal is always doing other crafts too like sewing and quilting... so talanted.
I just LOVE looking and hearing about it all!!
    Not to wordy for me...

  37. Hi Dawn, what an adorable card. That pug is just so cute. My best friend and I had a pug for more than 20 years...we called her Pudgie. Very cute card.

I totally love your blog. I don't always get to comment, but I totally love all your work. I don't come here for the blog candy. I come here for all the inspiration you give me. I would totally love to see you do some videos on coloring. I tried to answer your survey, but it wouldn't let me.

I will always be a faithful follower.

I read voraciously, quilt, sew, make children's clothes and goodies, machine embroider and card making and scrapbooking, of course. Love Copic markers, but do use other mediums as well. I also mix my crafts, such as adding quilting, fabric and embroidery to my cards. I appreciate your seeking feedback from your followers. Love the card too!

  45. Dawn I've been reading since the day you started this blog, you know how much I love you & all your work. You can't please everyone -- I love personal posts because I feel like I'm getting to know the blogger a bit better -- but some people come just for the crafts & don't like the personal stuff. Do what YOU want to do!! We will read no matter what :)
