How Full Is Your Bucket

How full is your bucket today? Mine is overflowing this week.  Between work, having my kids visiting and a new puppy I am ready for a long relaxing weekend.  This week our challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil challenge blog is to create a card inspired by a book or story. Mo's Digital Pencil has so many great images for this theme.  I chose Maggie and Beach Elements for mine.
This is the book that inspired my card today:

If you look really closely you will see that Mo illustrated this book.  It is a sensational book for kids.  I have always tried to teach my kids that when you give out kindness it comes back ten fold.  I have seen this in my life so many times.  We are all guilty of not being kind enough.  Today give out a little bit of kindness along the way.

Head on over to Mo's and create a card with your favorite book or story in mind.  Then upload to the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog and you could win.

My daughter's puppy Maya is staying with us right now.. She so wants those sandals but knows she better not..:)  This has my bucket full but also makes me smile too.

Home Grown

It is time for a Friday Focus over at Flourishes.  This week it is a Free For All which I love.  I have been wanting to match up the Garden Fresh set with Seeds of Friendship

The paper I used on this card is from the Venice 123 Create Kit from Flourishes.  I love these kits.  The brads on the side are also included in this kit.  I stamped my image on watercolor paper and did lots of masking.  Then I colored with markers.  The ribbon and lace are both available at Flourishes.

Check out what the rest of the team has created just for you:

Bloomin' Fabulous

Marigolds.

My friend Cheryl had emailed me the other day telling me she had discovered a new digital stamping company that she was in love with.  Come to find out it was a stamping friend of mine Arielle Gordon. Her new company is called Wax Fruit Company.   I am in love with so many of the images she has created.  This one is called Framed Marigolds.  I printed out my image on cardstock that is great for copics and let it dry for several days.  Then I colored it up and cut it out.
Check out the other fabulous images she has to offer.  You will not be disappointed.

Blueberry Muffins

This week at Mo's it is my turn again to host.. I chose a "recipe" challenge.
A Recipe For Friendship

Take two people with common interests,
Mix together with love and understanding,
Stir in a sense of humor and a lot of compassion.

Bake for a lifetime...
and enjoy the fruits of your labor knowing that you both have made
a remarkable concoction that will last forever!

Create a card or project with one element in this recipe. It could be an image with 2 people, an image that portrays love or a sense of humor. You could even create a card with a recipe included or something that has to do with cooking. Mo has so many images that could be used here.
I have been inspired by my friend Christine's blog Dol Creations..she has so many great recipes that she has made even more special by adding her special touch.

RecipeBlueberry

I chose this adorable Blueberry Girl from Mo's Digital Pencil. I added some stamped blueberries from Flourishes' Berry Sweet set.  This recipe is so yummy. HOWEVER, I forgot to add that you need 1/3 cup of flour for the topping.  I have made these many times and they are delicious.
Then I found a recipe book online per Christine's suggestion at Langs.  I love their products.  I typed up my recipes and my images and then printed and colored.

I actually created 3 recipe cards but will save the other two for another day.  Here is the gorgeous book I got to keep them all safe.
.

Wouldn't this make a great stamp.. I just love all those canned veggies and fruits.

So that is it for me.. Please come over to Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge blog to see all the details.

Garden Fresh

It is the final day of Flourishes New Release.  I am absolutely in love with this set.  One of the best parts about  summer is my garden.  I remember spending long hot days helping my mom and grandma can food from our large garden.
Marcella has done it again with this beautiful set.

For my project I used the new release set called Garden Fresh.  It has carrots, peas and beets plus many great sentiments. Flourishes also has tags and recipe cards to coordinate. They are called Fresh Labels and Fresh Recipes. They are a digital download available at Flourishes.   I chose a tag to add to my jar of carrots.  I then used the recipe card to create a Carrot Cake recipe that is very yummy.   I also created a box to hold several more recipe cards.

.

RecipeCarrots.

These recipe cards are so easy to use. I just printed mine off and wrote out my recipe.  I added the carrots to the side with a little bit of masking involved.

Recipe Jar.
I added some designer paper from the Venice 123 Create Kit and the checked ribbon Flourishes has in their store.  I used the label that you can purchase with this set and stamped my Garden Fresh carrots and then colored with Flourishes Copics Collection Gerber Daisies.

Now would you like to win this set? Just hop around to all the Design Team Blogs and check out their creations.  Leave a comment on each blog because there is a mystery blogger somewhere along the way..

Flourishes Release Week Color Challenge

Thanks so much for joining me this afternoon for a little Flourishes fun.  Today we would love to have you join us for a color challenge.  Create a card using these colors. Upload it to the Flourishes blog under this challenge for a chance to win the entire set.

I have a quick little tutorial for you today.  I created a little gift bag decoration using the new Make A Wish set.  I thought it was perfect for a little girl's birthday party or gift.

Bag2.
These embellishments have become so popular and I thought of the Make A Wish set as soon as I saw them.  I have a quick little tutorial on how I created this..

Tut1.

First cut a 12 X 1 inch piece of designer paper for your ruffle.  Score it every 1/2 inch.
Accordian fold your strip of paper.

Tut2.

Next I used Scor Tape to connect the two together.  Then I flattened it and glued it to the back of a circle I cut with my Spellbinders Circle dies and Grand Calibur.

Tut3.

I then used my hot glue gun to adhere some ribbon to a Spellbinders  Classic Scalloped Circle I cut with my  Grand Calibur
Tut4a.

Then I hot glued all my layers together. I used Spellbinders Lacey Circle Dies to add my sentiment from the Make A Wish set.

Tut4.

Now it is your turn.. Create a card using Pretty In Pink.  Upload your creation to the Flourishes Pretty In Pink challenge and you could be entered to win the New Release.  Deadline is Friday June 10th at 5 p.m. CST.

Flourishes Release Week Challenge

As we get ready to honor the Independence of the good ole U.S.A, let's see your patroitism shine! Use red, white and blue if you hail from the United States. If you live in other parts of the world, turn to your nation's flag for inspiration! For me it is good old Red, White and Blue.

Patriotic
I wanted to use some older sets that have not seen love in awhile. I have seen Betty Wright create so many beautiful backgrounds with stamps.  She was my inspiration. These sets are Flourishes Berry Sweet and Strawberries.   I stamped the berries out randomly onto Flourishes Classic White Cardstock and then colored with Flourishes Copics Collections:
Fuchsia, Green Grass, and Blue Jeans.  Flourishes has done a great job matching up color combos for these Copic Collections.

Patriotic2.

I created a little pocket for a recipe I found at Kraft Foods.com.  I think this will be delicious for a 4th of July party I am having.  They are festive and fun..  They taste great too.

Patriotic3.

Now come on out and join the party.  You have until next Friday June 10th to create a card using RWB or your countries flag colors.  Then link it on the Flourishes blog and you could win the entire new release.
If you upload to Splitcoaststampers be sure to use the keyword FLLCJUNE11. Deadline is June 10th at 5 PM Eastern.

Now check out what the rest of this fabulous team created:

Red White and Blueberry

Sketch5-302.

It is time for another Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  This week I am hosting and I chose a sketch for my challenge.  This sweet little image called Blueberry Girl is available at Mo's Digital Pencil.
One of the things I love about this image is her shoes.  They are so sweet with the hearts on them.  The blueberry stamps and sentiment are from Flourishes Berry Sweet.

Here is the sketch if you would like to play along.  The details for the challenge are over at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog.
