In The Dog House

A few weeks ago the Teapot Tuesday challenge over on Splitcoaststampers
was to create a dog card for a police officer that was injured in the line of duty.  I chose this adorable stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs as my dog image. The image is called Dog Pile.  It felt great to use an unloved, uninked stamp.  Colored with copics and prisma pencils. The dog house template is from Whimsie Doodles

What a gorgeous weekend it was here.  In the 60's all weekend and not a cloud in the sky.  Hope the sun is shining where ever you may be.

Warm Sunshine

Red closeup

It's time for another Mo's Digital Pencil challenge. This week Elaine is challenging us to use reds, yellows, oranges and a neutral.  I use reds a lot but have not used oranges or yellows so this was fun.. I am wishing for some summer sun can you tell.

I chose the images...Rosa and Dante's Drum.  I love these two merged together.  I had some designer paper that had clouds so I just cut them out. I will add a sentiment later. When I create I don't always know who will get my cards so I don't add a sentiment.

Come join in the fun... Check out this challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog.

Snowman Love and GO BEARS

Here in North Carolina I have been blessed with the joy of spending time with two great stamping friends.  Last week it was their birthdays.. I wanted to create just something little and keep it to a winter/valentines theme.. This is a candy bar wrapper I found on Christine Dol's blog.  She had created some really cute ones for Christmas.  The wrapper can be found HERE on Laurie Furnell's blog.   It is a free download.  I added a piece of fleece I glued on with a hot glue gun.. Then added a heart button and my favorite gingham ribbon. Fun and simple project..

My son and I LOVE snow..

A few weeks ago he was home for a week because of snow and ice.  We had so much fun.. Of course I am sporting my CHICAGO BEARS hat..hehe..GO BEARS today..

Flourishes Friday

It is time for another Flourishes' Friday creation.. I am in love with this new set just release at Flourishes called Love Notes. It is perfect for a music lover like me.. Music just changes my entire mind frame on a bad day..

I used all but one of the stamps in this set for my main image. I did lots of masking.  Stamped my images on a post it note to make it easier.  Colored with W1,W3, R29 from Flourishes Warm Neutrals and Poppy Copics Collections.
I stamped on Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock. I also used it for some matting.

ValentinesRobott

This was my original card for today but I messed it up..:( I had it all done and realized I had a smudge.. So it will go to a nonstamper..:)  I used the new set Tokens Of Love.  This robot is so sweet. I stamped on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock and colored with copics W1, W3, R81, R83.   I used the metallic silver paper Flourishes carries.. What robot isn't a metallic lover.

Lastly, please give  a warm welcome to our newest team member Barbara Anders.  We are all so excited to have her join the team.  We sadly say goodbye to Laura Fredrickson but will still see her awesome creations over on the Bring Back Beauty Team..:)

Also don't forget... Buy all three and receive 10% OFF the purchase price. Bundle includes Love Notes, Hearts & Flowers and Tokens of Affection. Offer ends  TODAY.

Design Diva's Blog Hop

Recently a group of stamping friends got together on Facebook and created
a group called the Design Divas.  They originated from Splitcoaststampers.
This week the group decided to have a Just For Fun blog hop.. The theme was
oldies but goodies.

You should have arrived here from Anita's blog.
After this you should journey on to Linda's blog.

This stamp set is one of my favorite Flourishes sets called Poppy Patch.  I wanted to use this set today because as I was digging through my OLD stash trying to decide what to create and I came upon some beautiful designer paper and a punch that my sweet friend Lisa Lara had sent to me.  It was perfect for this set.  I stamped on watercolor paper which I rarely use and colored with my long forgotten SU markers.  Then I found that my old stash of SU River Rock cardstock that I have had for years was the perfect match.

I needed a thank you card for a sweet friend that went above and beyond for me this week...I am blessed by my friends..:)  Thank you Lisa for all these goodies..

Hope you enjoy this fun little blog hop..

Favorites For Flourishes

Welcome to Day 3 of the new releases over at Flourishes.
Valentines1

Today the Flourishes Design team is helping the Friends of Flourishes Challenge team celebrate their 100th Challenge.  The FOF team has challenged everyone to create a card using favorites.. Favorite stamps, colors, ribbon...etc.  I chose the newly released set called Tokens of Affection.. This set is available today..:)
I am a huge tea lover. I drink all kinds of tea during the day.  My NY resolution was to give up caffeine and diet Coke.. Yikes.  That was hard.  Luckily they have decaffeinated tea.
So I used my favorite new stamp from Tokens Of Love.  I also chose my favorite color RED.  My favorite shapes are hearts and my favorite ribbon is any kind of gingham.

This was colored with Flourishes Copics collections Poppy and Flesh Tones... I stamped the image on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock.  The ribbon is May Arts Ruffled Edge Red Gingham.
Check out what the rest of the Flourishes Design Team created.. Then head on over to the Flourishes Blog to see all the details for the Friends of Flourishes challenge..

Flourishes New Release Day 1

It's the first day of Flourishes New Release.   The first stamp set we are previewing is called Hearts and Flowers.

I chose the heart with the pretty roses.  This sentiment "I Love You" is
perfect for so many different cards.

I stamped the heart from this set twice. I wanted to layer it.  Colored them both with Copics Collection's Poppy and Green Grass after I stamped the images out on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock.  I used the Basic Grey Curio designer paper for this card.  The ribbon is the two toned peach May Arts Ribbon available in Flourishes store.

Help For Katie

Katie2

This week there is a huge outpouring of love from the stamping community for one of our own.. Katie Renz.  You can read her story HERE on her blog.  I was on a design team with Katie and cannot even imagine what she is going through.  There are several different card drives going on so I thought I would send this card out to her.  I used Flourishes
I Love Roses Set.  The paper is from Basic Grey's Curio line.

I also wanted to play in the teapot Tuesday Challenge over on Splitcoaststampers.  This week Mothermark is honoring Katie and we are all sending our cards to her.  Check out all the details HERE and come play along.  Great group of stampers.

Starting this week Katie's friend Jak Heath has coordinated a big fund raiser to help Katie's family.  Over 16 companies got together and created some goodies for the give away.. You can check out all the details on Jak's blog HERE

I will keep Katie in my thoughts and prayers.

Happy New Year

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday.. Mine was relaxing and gave me time to regroup.  I don't have anything new for you today but wanted to show you two of my favorite cards this year.. This first one is from Flourishes using the Humming Along set.  This is such a great set and reminds me of spring.

This second card is one of Mo's images called Strawberry Girl.  I love stamping and coloring on Kraft.  It is my favorite paper.  She is such a sweet image.  I created both of these for the Dirty Dozen.  This month we were to use a faux technique.  I used faux chocolate on her purse.

I will be back to creating this week.. I want to get my my stamping area all cleaned out.. and ready for the new year.. Thanks again to all of you that have given me so much encouragement these past few months..
