WhimsieDoodlesLilcupidP

I had a few more cards to create for Whimsie Doodle this month so
I got busy yesterday and created some valentine cards and gifts.

This first card is a card that is going to my MIL.  The last time we
were home she cleaned out all her crafting stuff. She gave almost
all of it to me.  It really touched my heart.  The lace and the wooden
hearts were in the bundle of goodies.  I used the newly released set
called Lil Cupid.  This is one of the new rubber stamps that Melyssa
now has in the store. I colored with my Prismas on Dessert Sand
paper from Mark's Finest Papers.  I LOVE this stuff.  It has a great
texture and it has a earthier color than SU's Kraft.

I am entering this into several challenges for the week:
Raise The Bar:  Use something old (lace and hearts from MIL)
Dare U2Digi:  Hearts.. I think there are plenty here..:)
Sharon Johnson's Challenge:  Bleeding Hearts
Caardvark's Challenge:  Red and Hearts

2

This second card was created for the Whimsie Wednesday challenge on PCP
where I am the host this week.  My challenge is "Go Figure".  Make a card
with a shape. This is Cloud 9 Cupid and Cupid 9 Leah merged together.
I also added the flannel heart to go along with the Ways To Use it Challenge
on SCS. Julia's challenge was to add textiles to your creation.

WhimsieDoodlesTowel

This towel creation is for my Whimsie DT Valentine.  I made it using a
towel from the dollar store then I added a fabric strip to it and a
yoyo flower and heart button.

WhimsieDoodlesMonkeyandsock

This last cutie creation is for my niece.. I am sending her a little
package full of stuff for Valentines.. This monkey image is perfect
for Valentine socks.. I colored with copics and highlighted with
my Prismas..

These stamps or digi images are all available at 20% off. Hurry over
and use the code Dawn20 to save 20% on your order...

Saturday Spotlight Challenge

SSHPLarge

I created this card for the Saturday Spotlight challenge this week.  We
were challenged to use LARGE stamps, images, cards etc..Anything that
is on a larger scale.  This is the reason I LOVE digis.  You can resize to
whatever size you want.  I chose this image from Squigglefly called
Snowman in the Moon.  This digi is by Cheryl Alger. I just love her
snowmen.  I covered up the moon with my blanket stitched felt heart.

I wanted to practice my green copics so that is why this card is so bright..
I used my own "challenge" for the month by using the blanket stitch.  I
challenge myself each month to learn something new..

Bring On The Sun

It's Saturday Spotlight time...This week we were challenged to make
a card that let the SUN shine in...Nothing better than a bright sunny
day for bikini weather..LOL
As soon as I saw the challenge I thought of this bikini card I learned
to make at a Stampin Up Stamp Camp a few years ago.. I used creamy
carmel cardstock and then found some  yellow polka dotted designer
paper in my stash. Used my circle and flower punches to make the
bikini.  I took some ribbon and braided it for the straps.  Of course
I had to give her a little belly bling..

Here is the info for this week's challenge:

The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to LET THE SUNSHINE IN!!  Since we want to be done with all those wild snowflakes from last week, we thought this week we would ask you to get your bright colors or use mostly "yellow" or monochromatic yellow for your creations this week!
(The theme fits perfectly with our sponsor for this week!)

For our Spotlight sponsor this week we have...

Here's the rest of this amazing team's creations..

Praying For Haiti

Mo'sChallenge1-20

I have had such a heavy heart for Haiti this week.  This card was inspired by
all the brave people there and all of the amazing volunteers that have been
helping the injured.  My step mom has been on a medical mission trip to Haiti
the last two years.  The country was already suffering.

I used Suzanne Dean's tutorial for coloring her skin and hair:  Suzanne Dean

This is for Mo's Digital Challenge Blog this week..Lisa is the host and she
chose a color challenge. We were to use Deep Purple, Amethyst, and Soft Blue.
Such pretty colors together.  I used copics on her hair and skin. I colored
her dress and wings with prisma pencils.  Added dazzling diamonds to her wings. I
kept my layout simple.  This image is Fairy Tabia and is available at
Mo's Digital Pencil.

Mo's Dream Team is having a blog hop today.. It starts HERE..

Happy Birthday

WhimsieDoodlesPear1cardnpear

I am really excited about this project.. I have been working on it for
a few days.  My friend is having a birthday today. I knew that she had
just gotten a new sewing machine and I wanted to give her something
that she could use with her new toy.. I saw this adorable pear pin cushion
on the internet the other day.  I knew it would be perfect for this
Whimsie Doodles Pear image from the New Mini Valentines  set.  This also
fits the challenge over at PCP for the Whimsie Doodles group.. This week
Nicole is hosting and her challenge is birthday cards...Check it out HERE.

I created my own custom Designer Paper on Kraft by resizing the image
and then placing it randomly all over my blank page in Photoshop
Elements 7.  Printed it and then colored all of it with Prisma Pencils.   I
sponged and added some ribbon and buttons.

In keeping with my New Years Resolution I am challenging myself to do
something new to ME each month.  I didn't know how to do this
blanket stitch on the leaf so I You Tubed it and there you have it.

Did you know that Melyssa is having a sale over at Whimsie Doodles..

Just use the code DAWN20 and you can get this image and many of the
others at 20% off.  She has some new Valentine's Images..PLEASE ORDER..

They are over the top adorable.

Whimsie Doodles Sale

WhimsiedoodlesRedHighHEels

As I was looking through the Dirty Dozen Gallery yesterday at Splitcoaststampers
I was inspiredby a shoe that my fellow Whimsie Doodles DT member Kelly
had created. She used a shoe template created by Ellen Hudson.  Kelly's was
beautiful and elegant.  I decided it would be great way to use the new
Valentines Mini set from Whimsie Doodles.

This shoe is on its way to my friend in IL.
Her and I love Kelly Pickler (who grew up near me) and she has a song titled
"In My Red High Heels I wanted to send her a little Valentine gift so I wrapped
some ribbon on a clothes pin.  I got that idea from my friend Traci...
I am adding this to the DARE U 2 DIGI challenge this week which is to use buttons.

the snowmen Faith has in her store.

Heart Less

use

It's Saturday Spotlight time again...I love this challenge.  This week Vicki
challenged us to create a card with a LOVE theme but using NO Hearts.
This could be for valentines, wedding or any love type of occasion.

I chose these adorable images from Mo's Digital Pencil Too.  This is Sam's
In Trouble. BIG trouble. I also merged Honey Greeting (the dog) in with Sam to
help in the clean up. These are two seperate images and I used my friend
Holly's  video to do this..Check it out HERE.

My son actually did this when he was little.  I think he thought that if he
put I LUV U mom and dad would not be so upset. It worked.

Our sponsor this week is Donna's Den of Crafts..

So grab your stamps, paper, and creativity and join us for challenge # 13 at
