Don't forget that you still have time to enter the monthly Christmas

It's time for a Friday Focus over at Flourishes.  This week Christine is
hosting and the challenge is More Is More.. Check out the
details over at the Flourishes Blog. The above card is my More Is
More card..

FlourishesMisM

This card is my Less Is Less card.. I love the way you can take a Flourishes
set like Humming Along and use it to create a clean and simple card. For both
cards I used Flourishes Classic Ivory and White Cardstock..I love this paper for
copic coloring.  I used the Gerber Daisy and Holly Copics Collections to
color my images.

Check out what the rest of the Design Team did here:

This was my inspiration.. I picked these while I was out on my morning run.
I love the little tiny center.. They look like butterflies inside the actual
flower.. The trumpet vine grows wild here along the road..

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge

Paper Piecing
This week over at Mo's Digital Pencil, Elaine is our hostess for the week.
She challenges everyone to use paper piecing on your card.

I chose the Digital Paper that is over at My Favorite Things.  I love their
paper.  I can just print it off.  The clouds are my favorite.  Then I printed
Robin from Mo's Digital Pencil out twice.  The second time onto the MFT
green striped paper..

Colored the rest with copics.. Added some buttons.  The felt cloud
is also a MFT die.. It has three sizes of clouds..

So get creating and join us over at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog.

I found a challenge that this fits...
Crazy 4 Challenges:  BUTTONS..(I think I got that covered..)

Card and envy

I chose the new set and digi papers called Grow Green.. This was such a fun set to create with.. I used my Photo Shop Elements program to add all my different images onto a blank canvas and then printed them out and colored away.. I LOVE to garden so this was right up my alley..  I even created an envelope to go along with the card.  The designer papers I used for the sun and on the card are all digi papers from Amber's store.

DTGD2010

Dirty Dozen Rchel
This year I have the honor of hosting a
challenge for the Dare To Get Dirty gals over on Splitcoaststampers..
I have a challenge over there so check it out..

DTGDgingham_edited-1

This second card is for a challenge that my friend Denise (peanutbee)
is hosting.. You can check her challenge too over on Splitcoaststampers.

Edited to add:  I made my own button.. I drew that apple (I shocked myself) on
a piece of fabric and then colored very carefully with copics. It bleeds.. Took me 3 tries.
Then I purchased a button kit from the fabric store.. I think this one is 7/8 in.  I added just
a bit of extra fabric under the button fabric and created the button.  The directions are
on the back of the kit.  EASY.  You can even use just fabric with a pattern. I have
also sewn beads on a button cover.. (if you are a Fan Club Member at SCS it is
in my DD gallery back in May.)
You can create a card and post it in the gallery and play along with all
of the past and present Dirty Gals..Check out all of the challenges

If you are not a fan club member come on  over to SCS and join..

Up inks.. I have used this image often.  It is one of my many favorites.
Come join in the fun over at MO's Challenge Blog.  Create a card
and add to Mr. Linky. You could win a free Mo image..

Also chose this image for the Dare To Get Dirty challenges over on
Splitcoaststampers.. Come check them out.. This one fits the

Seeds of Friendship

Welcome to day two of the sneak peeks for
Flourishes July New Release.

SB

This set has so many great possibilities.. I stamped the seed packet
from Seeds of Friendship onto Flourishes Watercolor paper.
Then I used the Strawberries Set for my fruit.  I made
my own stick pin to add to my ribbon.. It has a strawberry at the
top.

Berrysweet-Seeds

This second card uses the new set Berry Sweet.  I stamped the
raspberries on Flourishes Classic White cardstock and uses
the Basic Grey Kioshi designer paper available at Flourishes.
The checked gingham ribbon is also available in the store.

Check out the rest of the team here:

Strawberry Recipe1

I chose the savory  Strawberries Set.. This summer my daughter and I have
been trying new jam recipes.. This is our favorite.  I created a little pocket
for my recipe to slip into.. This way I can write a message on the inside of the
card and my daughter can still have the recipe and a beautiful card.

Strawberry Recipe2

Here is the recipe pulled out of the pocket.
I colored this with Prisma Pencils.. I added
a strawberry ceramic button and some May
Arts fiber and gingham ribbon.

Jam

The very last thing we did was decorate the tops of your jars. I used a
piece of fabric and stamped with stazon in the middle of my fabric
piece.  Then I colored VERY CAREFULLY with my copics collections
from Flourishes I used:  Gerber Daisey Collection
Don't saturate the fabric too much or it will bleed. I was even able to blend two
colors on the peaches.

I used the Cherries and Peaches set for the peach jam and the Strawberry set for
the strawberry jam.. This is going to be our Christmas gifts for this year.

Want to see what the rest of the team did... Check it out:

Flourishes is also having a 12 days of Christmas sale going on right now.. Check it
out HERE.. All Christmas sets are on sale for 25% off.

Sail Away

"We cannot direct the wind but we can adjust the sails." BeachT

This week over at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Elaine is our hostess
again this week.. She challenged us to create something beach related.

After trying to decide which image to use I saw this sweet little guy
and thought he would be perfect for a beach type theme. He is called
Out There and is available at Mo's Digital Pencil.

Mo created this image in memory of a sweet little boy
named Layton.

I colored him with copics (in nontraditional sailor colors).  I wanted some
deeper shading on the dog so I colored with copics and then I
added some sparkling H2O's.  It gives it a deep rich color.
The button is a handmade ceramic button I got on Etsy.  The cloud
die is from My Favorite Things.. I LOVE this die.

Lastly our former DT member Michelle Oatman had a terrible accident and
lost her eyesight in one eye.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers
as she goes through this life changing transition.

Here are a few Challenges my card fits...
Digital Tuesday: Red, White, and Blue
Raise The Bar:  Colors of your flag
Cute Card Thursday: Schools Out For Summer/Summer Theme
Paper Take Weekly:  Sketch #44

Flourishes Friday Focus

coasters3
Happy Friday everyone.. It is time for another Friday Focus over at Flourishes.
This week we are focusing on an altered project..  I chose to make a coaster.
I created several coasters.. The one above turned out the best.  I did not
stamp on the coasters I stamped on white tissue paper.. Then used
Modge Podge and painted the coast with it and then carefully added
the tissue paper over the coaster. It becomes transparent then.. I carefully
smoothed out my paper and added another thin coat over top. When it was
dry I sprayed it with a sealer.. Very easy gift.

I used stazon ink and copics
coasters2

for the floral one I did.  I also printed on printed my son's picture
by taping a piece of tissue paper to a sheet of cardstock and running
it through the printer.. This was my Father's Day gift to my hubby.  He
loved it.

I used the newly released Life Lines for my sentiments. The butterflies
are from Fanciful Flourishes.  The florals are the trumpet vine from
Humming Along. I carefully colored it with my Copic Collections
Violet from Flourishes..

If you decide to try this be sure that your stazon ink pad is juicy.. :)
Otherwise your stamp will stick to your tissue paper.  I purchased my tiles
from the local home improvement store.
Check out what the rest of the talented DT members created:
