Life is a book. Some pages get torn out, lines get erased. Others scribble
into your book, to add extra conflict. Each day our book gets longer,
and the story can easily change. So go out there and be the author
of an extraordinary autobiography.
A just "because" card.. It is nice to stamp for no reason at all.. :)
This summer my son and I have been reading.. He is reading
the Seekers series.. It is about a group of bears. I am reading
Don't Sweat The Small Stuff. I wanted some inspiration.
This image is new over at Mo's Digital Pencil. His name is
Harvard. I love her new set of school kids.. Go check
them out.
A HUGE shout out of thanks to Sharon Basel for my new
watermark. I just love it. It is perfect for me.
Check out her blog Inklinedtostamp
She also created her own background on her blog which I LOVE...

ReplyDeletelove the saying and the card is just too cute.
ReplyDeleteJust adorable Dawn! Such a cute image and glad you are getting time to read this summer!!!
ReplyDeleteSensational card Dawn... a lovely post too. Hugs, Peggy
ReplyDeleteReally a beautiful card! I love the new stamp!
ReplyDeleteAwesome 'just because' card, Dawn. All I can say is good for you for being a reader. College ruined me for wanting to read much for pleasure any more. It seems the only time I read for pleasure is when my husband is deployed, lol. Otherwise we read all day for school, and I want to do 'fun' stuff when the books get closed ;D
ReplyDeleteThis little guy is beyond adorable, Dawn!! Coloured to perfection as always and I love how you used a book page as the BG and the twine with the star is the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteI love to read but my reading time tends to go in spurts. More in the summer and around Christmas because there are just so many hours in a day LOL! I'm assuming your son has read the Warrior series by Erin Hunter as well??! If not, they are fabulous! My daughter loves them and I have actually read them all myself because it was easier to have a conversation about the book rather than have her give me a daily summary of what she had read LOL!
this is adorable Dawn!!!
ReplyDeleteAnother great series is one written by Henry Winkler (yes, the Fonz LOL!). The series is called Hank Zipzer. I have been in tears laughing in parts (my personal favorite is the one about summer school). Another really fun series is the "And Then It Happened" series. Can't recall the author, but again, totally hilarious stories in there that have had our family is stitches laughing. Hope these help :D
ReplyDeleteI've got my kids pretty busy so hope not to hear "I'm bored" too often! One month of swimming lessons, a week of VBS at the church, reading program at the library, we'll be doing a home bible study of lessons I taught the Grade 5/6 class this past year and I want to get them out volunteering somewhere a few times (Food Bank etc.). Can't just put a pool out in the back yard and have them play in it all afternoon any more LOL! (((hugs)))
What a great post Dawn! I so love your card!!!
