Cow's It Going????

barn

It has been way too long since I uploaded to my blog.  I have still been creating.  Most of my creations have been cased cards from Pinterest  and so no original ideas from me lately.  This card is for the continuation of our Family Challenge Year.  The month of June is for my dad.  It is his 76th birthday.  We are giving him a card shower.  So each family member has to send him a card with a special memory included.  I know he will love it.  I chose to send this card along with the challenge to my family members.  The wood grain, barn die and paper are all from Papertrey Ink.  My dad is 100% Norwegian and very proud of it. He just built a barn with a barn quilt added so I searched on the Silhouette Store site and found a Norwegian flag.  Resized and added my paper barn quilt.

This cute little guy peeking out is from There She Goes Stamps.  He is so cute.  My dad is a beef and grain farmer so it was perfect.

Hummer2

If you are a follower of my blog you remember that back in March we had a bird challenge for my family.  Create a little bird feeder and hang it outside.  Well here is mine.  I love these hummers.  I am having trouble getting them to my feeder this year.  Not sure why.  I think it is the feeder as last year I had oodles.

Red Finch

This was the best $6 I have ever spent.  The Finches have been going crazy over this.  It is right outside my stamping room.

This takes up a lot of my time but I love it.

Jordo

This took up a lot of my money but I also love it.  All of our daughters have now graduated and I am happy to say gainfully employed.  Very proud of them for all their hard work.

So that's it for me.  What have you all been up to?  Hopefully there is someone out there that still check my blog. LOL

  1. Darling barn card. I'm sure your dad will love it, especially with the flag front an center :) I LOVE hummers and this year they didn't come to my feeder - soooo sad :( They are around as I have been buzzed a few times. Maybe I put mine up too late? A challenge to get them to come next year for sure - love the pic you took of yours!

  11. Hi Dawn, nice to see you back again. Love the card and I'm sure you dad will love it too. Even though you haven't attracted hummingbirds this time, you are so lucky to actually have them. We definitely don't have anything as exotic in our country. We do have 6 blue tit chicks thriving in the bird box on the side of our house. Welcome back x

  12. Dawn, it's always great to see you! Your card is so cute, that is amazing about your Dad's barn! I really am intrigued by your finch feeder, is it homemade? Hope you're enjoying your summer! Your pictures are great, your son is growing up fast, and you and your daughter are beautiful!

  13. I'm glad I checked in today, Dawn. This was a very fun post. I love this month's family challenge. Your Dad will really enjoy it. I put a hummingbird feeder outside my kitchen window last year and it did not attract a single hummingbird. We have lots of them around, but they seem to prefer the honeysuckle and fuchsias. I like your finch feeder and I might look for something like that. I'm glad to know you're able to make time for the important things in life, like home and family. Enjoy!
