Snow Day North Carolina Style

This next week is my daughter's birthday.  I had gotten her all kinds of cooking stuff.  One of the items was a  ceramic pie plate and all the utensils to help make pie.  This little sweetie is from Tiddly Inks. She is called Anna Gives Thanks.  I created the pie shape and added the lattice work and circles.

Then I created a lunch bag for her to take to work.  She loves the color yellow.  I am really enjoying my sewing again.  I found the pattern here: A Bee In My Bonnet

Boy did we have fun here today.  It snowed just enough for us to make a snow man and enjoy the big fluffy flakes.  It was great packing snow.  I miss the snow we used to get.

Hope you are having a great weekend.  Next post I will have  a few more sewing gifts I created plus some of my Silhouette Cameo projects.  I am really enjoying my Silhouette.

Thanks for sharing the photos. That's more snow than we have gotten in this part of Iowa. But it does sound like we will get hit this coming week.

  3. Super cute pie card, Dawn! Very clever design! I'm sure your daughter will love it and the cooking gifts, too! You had a lot of snow! Great pics! We only had a few flurries, which are rare here, but it was cold and windy and gray all day. Can't wait to see your Cameo projects! I am still learning with mine. Hugs!

I have a lemon pie recipe that is so easy! All ingredients go in a blender....it's yummy! Let me know if you want the recipe. It's tart and creamy.)

  12. You are really catching on to the Silhouette....this is an adorable card! And your daughter will love all of it...the bag is an extra special gift because it was made by you. I love the stuff my mom has made for me over the years and miss it. She can't see well enough to sew now so the sewing gifts have ended. :-(

Great work, Dawn and glad you got to enjoy some snow...we have some coming in this coming Wed. and Thurs.
