Birthday Blessings

Letter Writing

I created this card using another Teddy Bo image.  I just love these images. They are fun to color.  This one went to a friend just this last week.

This past weekend I had a birthday.  I always love birthdays. I think more than any other holiday or celebration because it is your one special day.  We celebrated in the mountains of North Carolina.  My son had a great time tubing. I am so sore. It was gorgeous out there.  55 degrees and sunny but they were still making snow.  That is one of the things I love the most about living here.  2 hours to the mountains and 4 to the beach.  You can't beat that.

Hope you all are having a great February.  I just got a new Silhouette Cameo for my birthday and I am still trying to figure it out. I LOVE it so far but it is a little intimidating.  Stay tuned for some projects.

  3. Happy Birthday again, Dawn :) How fun to go tubing!! Haven't done that in ages! Sorry you're sore, but sure you made some good memories which makes up for it ;)

We are spoilled here too! Just 10 minutes to the beach by our house (mind you it has to be pretty hot out before I'll go into the cold water up here LOL! Kids are immune to cold, I swear!) and an hour to the closest ski hill if you hit the three local ones in town or 2.5 hours to Whistler and then a broad selection of others you can get to between 2 - 6 hours away. Loved it when I worked down town and the building faced the water so you could see the ocean and the snow covered mountains all in one view! Heck in the spring you can wind surf for half a day and ski the other half if you want to! Yes, we are spoilled here :)

  10. Oh happy belated birthday wishes, Dawn. It sounds like you had a fabulous time! And your Teddy Bo card is lovely! He looks so fluffy!
Here in England we are 2 hours from the mountains (in Switzerland) and 4 hours from the beach (on the Mediterranean)! Of course that is just flight times. When one has to allow for getting to the airport, waiting at the airport and getting from the airport at the other end I guess you do have it better!!! Hugs, Lesley

  13. Happy Belated Birthday! Sounds like you had an awesome day and you got an awesome gift. You will love the Cameo....I really love mine and use it almost every day! In fact, its getting used in just a bit to finish up my better halves Valentine card. I think I like the print and cut feature the best, especially since you can import your digital papers into it and fill your shapes with the papers. I was horrible at cutting my paper card layers to the right sizes but no more....I design the whole card in Studio and then just hit the cut button and all my layers are cut perfectly...LOVE IT!

I love this card...green being my favorite color. I've still not got into the coloring...do have my markers but just haven't had a chance to learn how to use them yet. Basically, all I've used them for is to enhance my printer colors and color the edges once I do a print and cut because I don't like the white edge showing.
