Owl Gift Bag

Owl Bag

It is time for another challenge at The Kraft Journal.  This week's challenge is to create something for the kiddies.. I saw an owl bag on Pinterest and just had to give it a try..

I created this owl treat bag for my son's birthday party.  I used Tracy's tutorial on how to make a treat bag out of a A2 Lunch Bag Kraft Standard envelope.    I then used some punches and the Lunch Bag Kraft Cardstock paper to cut out all my shapes.  I added some Orange Bakers Twine  for a little embellishment.  I also used some of The Kraft Outlet's Medium Cello bags to hold the treats.  I then added some orange buttons for a splash of color. My son loved this project.   Head on over to The Kraft Journal Blog and join in on the challenge. You can find it HERE.

I just got back from a trip to the beach.  This is one of the things I LOVE about North Carolina.  One morning I got up early and the only thing on the beach was me and this seagull..

This was the view from our deck.  It was so pretty.

I got up and watched the sun rise over the horizon.  It was gorgeous and inspirational.

This was right  before it peeked above the clouds.

Needless to say I was not ready to come back..:)

  10. Your bag is just adorable. I can see why your son was so thrilled with it! And I have to say if I had the view that you do, I might never do anything but sit on my deck or walk the beach. The photos were amazing! They could easily belong to a vacation brochure!

  13. what a fun bag! I love it! I love North Carolina! My DH and I didn't want to come home after our trip either, and I've had a hard time adjusting to 'real life' when I got back. We hope to retire there someday!

  14. Brilliant gift bag Dawn. So jealous of your beach photos, it looks so idyllic and peaceful. There is nothing more relaxing than hearing and looking at the ocean. We hope that when we retire we find a little house by the beach (we can dream can't we lol!)
