Botanical Bookplates

It is time to show you some more goodies from Flourishes April Release.

I chose to use the Botanical Bookplate Volume 2 florals and the background stamp
 set Antique Lace.

Botanical Book Plate2

I tried something new this week.  I realize these are pansies and should be a different color but I so badly wanted to use these:

Markers

Flourishes now carries these Aqua Markers from Letraset. I love them.  I can't wait to watercolor with them.  I chose to stamp my pansies on Kraft cardstock.  I then embossed with white embossing powder.  It is going to take some practice as I noticed if you touch the embossed area it will color it your marker color so you have to go slowly and add the color within the lines.   This technique works best if you use a bright color. I tried purples and they did not look as vibrant.

I also stamped the Antique Lace set in Versamark  and embossed.  I think I need to use fine detail embossing powder next time.  The card base is Flourishes Classic White Cardstock and I added some Red May Arts Red Two Toned Ribbon that Flourishes has in the store.  Some tiny pearls finish it off.

This is the last day to take advantage of Flourishes New Release Bundle package.  So check it out and place your order before it expires.

Now check out what the rest of the amazing design team have for you:
