Happy birthday to us! Happy birthday to us! Happy birthday dear Flourishes..... Happy birthday to us! That's right, this month Flourishes officially turned 4 YEARS OLD! So, we are lighting the candles on the cake and throwing a party like no other! The good news is -- even though it's our birthday - you could win one heck of a present yourself with some fabulous blog candy! It is an honor and a pleasure to be on this team.  I think Flourishes by far has some of the best stamps and I love working with them.  Here is the card I created for this birthday celebration.

I chose the Sunflower set for my birthday card.  I love this set for the fastly approaching Fall season.  I used my new Spellbinder's Labels Twenty Three and Grand Labels Twenty Three Dies to create the shape of my card. I cut all my die shapes out with my Grand Calibur Machine. I watercolored my flowers and cut them out.  The paper is from Basic Grey's Origins collection.   

I stamped the sentiment from the Kid's Play set and cut it out with my Spellbinders Nested Pennant Die.

Time Out Blog Candy

I am hoping that as the summer winds down you find some time to reflect back on all the great memories the days have provided.  For me it will be this next months visit back to my roots. I need some down time to regroup.  As I take a little break I wanted to share two cards that I recently created just for fun.  I love that kind of stamping the most.  This is an image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Sand Castle.

The second card I created is my favorite.  I love this Beach Life set from Flourishes.  It takes you to a calm and peaceful place.  Away from life's hectic pressures and schedules.  I watercolored this  image on hot pressed watercolor paper with Stampin Up markers.  Is the coloring perfect...NO.. I wanted it that way.  

I am taking a month long stamping break.  I need time to BREATHE and get my mojo back on track.  I will miss all of you.  I am going home to visit my dad in "primitive" land.  No  computer and no internet.  I need to create some new memories. :)
