How Full Is Your Bucket

How full is your bucket today? Mine is overflowing this week.  Between work, having my kids visiting and a new puppy I am ready for a long relaxing weekend.  This week our challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil challenge blog is to create a card inspired by a book or story. Mo's Digital Pencil has so many great images for this theme.  I chose Maggie and Beach Elements for mine.
This is the book that inspired my card today:

If you look really closely you will see that Mo illustrated this book.  It is a sensational book for kids.  I have always tried to teach my kids that when you give out kindness it comes back ten fold.  I have seen this in my life so many times.  We are all guilty of not being kind enough.  Today give out a little bit of kindness along the way.

Head on over to Mo's and create a card with your favorite book or story in mind.  Then upload to the Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog and you could win.

My daughter's puppy Maya is staying with us right now.. She so wants those sandals but knows she better not..:)  This has my bucket full but also makes me smile too.

  13. Oh your post hit home for me today. My bucket is so full right now....raising a teenage daughter is sooooo hard right now. Any advise Dawn. You have done a wonderful job with yours. I love your card today. It so reminds me of my kids when they were small. I love how you coloured your image and then added that juicy gingham bow!
Your daughters new puppy looks so cute! They are lots of work but they give so much back. Just like you said...what goes around comes around!

  19. Your card is so adorable, Dawn. (The coloring is so perfect.) I have to find some instructions on how to merge digis - because I had some cute ideas in my head, but couldn't put them together. And, your daughter's puppy, Maya, looks so soft and cuddly cute. Hope you are enjoying time with your family and have a wonderful 4th holiday!!

  21. Another beautiful card! Your coloring is gorgeous & I love the bow! Gingham is always my first choice. It sounds like your bucket is almost as full as mine right now. But it's also full of blessings, as yours is too so I guess we can still smile. Maya is adorable. I bet you won't be able to get mad at her even if she does get the shoes!

  24. I LOVE your card. It's darling. What's amazing is that I have this book in my class library and I've never paid attention to the illustrator because I don't focus on that for my lesson the first week of school.

Wonderful card!! I just love oogling (if that's a word) all your cards.
