Thank You Teacher

DTGDgingham_edited-1.

As I sent my son off to school today for his end of year testing I started thinking about all you teachers out there.  Not just school teachers but Sunday School, Homeschooling Parents, and tutors.. What a blessing it is to have all these people that take the time to enrich our child's lives and brains..:)
This is a card I created last fall for the Dirty Dozen. The image is a Pure Innocence image from My Favorite Things.I colored her dress with copics and added the lines with a prisma pencil to give it some contrast. I drew the apple with markers and created a button with a button kit from the fabric store.

DD2 Aug.

Here is the second card I created for the Dirty Dozen.  I spray painted a piece of cardboard with chalk paint and then wrote out the numbers and letters with chalk.  I love this little guy.  My Favorite Things has this with a girl over in their Pure Innocence section.

Thanks to all who teach. It is a big job....

  1. These are brilliant, Dawn! Your coloring is always top notch, and the idea to spray paint with chalkboard paint is awesome. Enjoy the quietness while you still have it ;)

  2. Both cards are just perfect using the school theme! I love the PI line at MFT and you've highlighted them so well! I don't consider myself a teacher, but it's surprising all the times teaching is involved with nursing duties. Thanks for sharing your superb DD creations!
