The months in 2011 just seem to be flying by. We just got back from visiting family in IL and IN.. It is a reminder of how time doesn't stand still. People and places change and life goes on. We had a great visit and it is always hard to come back.
It is only 8 months until Christmas. It felt like fall weather in IL. It was so cold. Stacy has another Noel challenge for us over on Splitcoaststampers. This month the theme is to use ONLY poinsettias on your card.
I chose the Poinsettia and Boxwood set for my creation. I stamped it on Flourishes Classic Cardstock twice and cut it out to layer. I added some pearl embellishments. This pretty ivory lace is from the Flourishes store. I love the width of this lace. It is perfect for card making. I stitched around the edges of my Basic Grey Jovial paper. I colored my flower with the Fuchsia Copics Collection.
A reminder about the changes to the challenge for the rest of the year.
We want you to get ahead on your Christmas cards and have more time to
enjoy the Christmas season without the glue dots in the hair, paper all
over the living room and smudges of ink on your face come Christmas Day!
So we will not draw one winner but 5 names to win in May. Each month we
will have anywhere from 5-10 winners for a free Christmas stamp set for
that month! For 5 lucky winners, May stamp set will be the Warm Winter Wishes.
