Mo's Fishing Man challenge

This month at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Peggy has been the hostess. This is her last week and she has challenged us to create a manly card. Thanks to Peggy (our DT leader) for  some great challenges.

I chose Mo's image Fishing. I got out my prisma pencils for this image.  I have not use them in awhile.

This image is so precious..  It reminds me of my dad when we were little.  He would take us fishing in our creek on the farm.  We would have a stick and a piece of string for our pole..We would dig up our worms  and head out.  Since there were 8 of us kids I am sure he spent most of his time trying to bait hooks.  Great memories. Thanks Dad...

This image is available over at Mo's Digital Pencil. Come join us in this challenge.  Create a manly card and add it to the link on the challenge blog.

Check out the rest of the team's creations HERE.

I also found a few challenges:
Crafty Angels:  Summer theme
Tuesday Taggers:  Memories
I Love Digi:  Thank You Card
Lili of the Valley Challenge:  Summertime
Quirky Crafts:  Planes Trains and Automobiles...AND BOATS..hehe.

Where is Dawn????

Shall we compare our hearts to a garden -
with beautiful blooms, straggling weeds,
swooping birds and sunshine, rain -and most importantly, seeds.
~Grey Livingston

It has been crazy busy here at the Burnworth house.. I thought I
would show you a few pictures of what I have been doing.  My son
tried out for a team a month ago and much to his dismay they didn't
feel he was ready for this team so they bumped him down a level to
play with the younger kids.  He was so disheartened..... SO what have
I been doing. I have been out practicing
with him each and every day.  I am happy
to report that last Saturday he hit a grand
slam home run..   This mom's heart now
feels a little better too.

I have also been working in my garden.  This is the first time I have planted a garden in 25 years.
It feels so good to get my hands dirty.. I am happy to say it is actually growing..

I will be back with a card soon. I also have a tutorial over at Flourishes this Friday so be sure to
check it out..

Building Sand Castles

Recipe Kai in Sailboat Hat

This week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge blog Peggy is our hostess again
this week.. She has given us a recipe to follow.. 3 designer papers, 2
brads or buttons and 1 ribbon.  I just spent the week with my sister at
the beach.  Such a relaxing place. I am ready for summer fun..

I used Mo's sweet little Kai in the Sand with his sailboat hat.  This is

available over at Mo's Digital Pencil Store.

Come join in the fun. Create a card and link that post up to Mr Linky.

Here is my baby on the beach.  We had so much fun spending hours

Cherry Pie

Sassy Cheryl's RAK's

Sorry I have been MIA... I have been so busy.  I wanted to make a few
cards for some of my featured friends over on SCS.. This is for Pat
Smether's Featured Stamper day a week ago.  I am so far behind...

This image is from Sassy Cheryl's store.  She is called Pie Chef..
After I photo'd and watermarked I realized I forgot to color her

cherry on top...

It feels so good to photograph my cards with my green outdoor background again..
I have been busy planting my garden and flowers.. I am so sore I
can barely move..

I am adding this to the following challenge:
Cupcake Craft :  Red and White

you would want if you were stranded on a desert island.. For me..Of course a
whimsical image and my gingham ribbon. I really struggle not having them..

Now on to the day 2 of the Flourishes Sneak Peeks.  I love this set.

thought the turquoise and black looked great together.
Fanciful Flourishes

I sponged on ink onto the butterfly after I stamped it in black

Mo's Digital Pencil Sketch Challenge

Mo's Sketch

This week at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge blog we were challenged by
our hostess Peggy to create a card with this sketch. I love this adorable
image from Mo's Digital Pencil called  Melia on Shell-Phone. It is available over at
Mo's store..

We were recently at the ocean and my son and I had so much fun  picking

up shells.  I couldn't resist adding a shell to my card.  I colored her with
copics and highlighted with Prisma Pencils.

This is my card from last week.  I never had time to post it on my
blog before heading out on vacation.  I love this What a Cake
image also available at Mo's Digital Pencil.  Peggy challenged
us to use Kraft, Black, White and any other color.  I kept mine
simple.  The Prisma flower is available over at Flourishes.

Mo's Kraft

Now it's your turn.  Head on over to Mo's Digital Pencil's
challenge blog and created a card with Peggy's sketch.  Then
add the direct link to your card to Mr. Linky for a chance to
win. MO's  CHALLENGE BLOG.

Flourishes New Release Day 1

This is my first sneak peek for the new Flourishes release.  This
set is called Around The Arbor.  I LOVE it.  The first year I was
married my husband built me an arbor.  I colored this with the
Flourishes copics sets  Peony Collection and the Grass Collection.

I used the Labels Twelve Spellbinder's  Die available HERE in the
Flourishes Store.

The Pearls are available in the store HERE.  I colored them
with my copics to match the flowers.

This sentiment is perfect.  I have a hard time finding "those"
moments.
Around The Arbor

Flourishes3
Hats Off To You  is the second set we are showing today.. I have a
cousin that is homeschooled and she is graduating this year. I thought
the pink and black would be great colors for her since she didn't have
school colors. I used the new Webster Fine Art Designer pack paper
and Flourishes Classic White Paper. The ribbon is also from Flourishes.

These sets will be released right after our Power Hour Release
Party Friday night at 9 PM CST in our SCS Member Company Forum!

MMteapottuesday

I have been wanting to participate in Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday
over on Splitcoaststampers for some time now.. I used to do it every

Faith.. She has left almost 100,000 comments on card over at SCS.

My friend Stacy contacted me and requested a RAK for a sweet little
girl she knows.  I hope she likes this.  The image was from my wonderful
friend Debbie and the theme for the Teapot Tuesday was cats.. This
was the only one I had.

I will be back the rest of the week with some exciting news and
all the sneak peeks for Flourishes.. You are going to LOVE this month's

Happy Easter

Mo's Digital Pencil Savannah

This month at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge it is Peggy's turn to host
the month. She is our fearless leader and does such a terrific job.
Her first challenge is to use pastels.. I rarely use pastels
but love them this time of year.  This sweet image is a new one
over at Mo's store called Savannah on  Easter.

When I was little my dad would go to the sale barn each spring and
buy me some baby chicks just like this.. I never looked this cute but
I sure did love my chicks.

Come join in on the fun over at Mo's Challenge Blog.  Create a card
with a Mo image and link it in Mr. Linky for a chance to win.

I used the sketch over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.  Love
Karen's sketches.

fit the criteria:
