This past weekend my son and I made Caramel Apples.. We had gone to an Apple Festival
in the beautiful mountain town of Hendersonville North Carolina. I loved it there. We decided we would get some apples and make them into something yummy. I found a recipe that was a little different..
Melt your bag of caramels first with 2 tablespoons of water on the stove. Then dip your apples in the caramel.. Heat the caramel slowly as it burns easily. Then take about 2 cups of pretzels that have been crushed and roll the apple around in them.. When this has cooled drizzle some milk chocolate on top.. (I used milk chocolate chips). This is so yummy..
AND OF COURSE.. you need to decorate the stick and tag with the new Flourishes Apple of My Eye set.. It has a cute little caramel apple stamp. I covered my stick with Basic Grey Origins Paper from Flourishes also.. The ribbon is the new Maya Roads ribbon..
I am sneaking this into the Shabby Tea Room's Challenge.. Inspired by Nature or Green
Don't forget I have blog candy.. HERE..
Mmmmmmm, I wish I were at your house enjoying some of those delicious looking caramel apples! What a beautiful card to go with it as well. Your a good momma to do that with your son ;D
