Psalms 1:3

I wanted to get a card done for the Devine Design Bible Verse Challenge.  I thought this verse was perfect for this image.  I watercolored this image with SU markers and hot pressed water color paper.  I used my neglected SU sanded background.  I am not sure where I got this stamp.  It is not mounted so it has just hung out in my stash...
This is also for my Twisted Sister Challenge on SCS to use a fruit..
The Psalm reads:
He is like a tree planted by steams of water which yields its
fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.  Whatever he does we prosper.

There She Goes Monday Challenge

This week's Monday challenge at There She Goes is to create a card using the cracked glass technique with a spooky theme.  I kept mine simple.  This is a great Halloween set.  It is a newly rereleased set at TSG called Spooktacular Silhouettes.  I stamped with SU black craft ink and embossed.  I then sponged with pumpkin pie, so saffron and chocolate chip.  I covered the entire thing with versamark and embossed with SU glassy glaze enamel 3 times.  Popped it in the freezer and cracked it.   Come join the fun.

Happy Birthday Michelle

Today is my sweet friend Michelle's birthday.  She creates cards for chemo kids and families.  I just wanted to send her out a huge birthday wish.  She is a Magnolia lover. Many of the cards that I make I send to her to give to her kids and their families.   I colored this with Primsa Pencils and Copics.  I created my own background by using a strawberry stamp from FireCracker Designs.  I got this set when I was a guest designer and I LOVE it.  I use it all the time.

Have a great day Michelle...LYMI..

Toilet Paper Pumpkin Blog Candy

THIS WILL STAY AT THE TOP UNTIL OCTOBER 1st.  LEAVE A COMMENT FOR A CHANCE TO WIN A TOILET PAPER PUMPKIN This weekend's Clear Dollar Stamps color challenge is hosted by my friend Lisa. We are to use the colors Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Green, Turquoise. I think I got all my colors in here for my Charlie Tag. Sorry for the poor pictures. It is definitely not fall like today..I thought I would give my blog buddies a chance to win a pumpkin.  I also used the Limited Supply Challenge for this tag.  To use Halloweenish colors and limit your embellisments.

I created a tutorial for you to see how I made my pumpkin. I have given these out as gifts and everyone loves them.. I made several of these and would love to send one your way. Just leave a comment on my blog and I will pick a random winner on October 1st.

I colored my image and made it into a tag for my pumpkin. I used Charlie Harvest Time (sentiment), Charlie Tweens (horse) and the Everyday Jar-Gon (candy corn).

Next I took a roll of toilet paper..

I cut a large circle of fabric approximately 20 inches wide and set the toilet paper on top. I then brought all the edges up and tucked it into the middle of the toilet paper.

I then added a 8 x 4in piece of accordian folded brown paper bag and a 9.5 x 4 in piece of fabric that I frayed a bit. I also added a cinnamon stick and raffia.

SO leave me a comment and I will add you into the drawing. I will leave this up until October 1st..(my daughter's 21st birthday) Thanks so much for coming to take a peek at my blog.

Banana Split Sunday

It's Banana Split Sunday over at 2RedBananas.  The best day of the week if you ask me.. This week's challenge is to use a recipe.. 1 ribbon, 2 stamps, 3 brads, dewdrops or gems.  I used the new August /Sept. Journaling  Spot for my lines behind my punched pumpkin and the sentiment comes from the Fuzzy Bear set. They are both new releases for September.

I added a pumpkin on the inside too.  This pumpkin was so easy to make.  Use your oval punches, sponge and add a punched heart for the stem and small strips of paper for the tendrils... Come join the fun.

Merry Kissmas

I am so excited about this image. When my girls were little they always gave me Eskimo Kisses. We would rub noses. It brings back such sweet images. This is a digi image by Mo Manning. Her images are so sweet. I colored this one with my Prisma Pencils. I added some glitter. It is so dark and rainy here today. Sorry for the poor photo. I created this for a group of ladies that have a Friday challenge on SCS. We were to create a CAS Christmas card. This is as clean and simple as it gets for me...LOL.. I downloaded and resized my image in Photoshop. Then I printed it out on my ink jet printer onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. Colored with Prisma Pencils.

House Mouse and Friends One Year Challenge

House Mouse and Friends blog is celebrating their one year blog challenge anniversary this week. We could choose any challenge they had posted in the last year. I chose challenge number 8 which was to use a halloween image. This adorable image is a RAK from my friend Bonnie. I colored it with copics and prismas. I used the new line of paper that Michaels has called Recollections. If you would like to play along there is a link on my sidebar.

Banana Split Sunday

I created this card for the 2Redbanana's Banana Split Sunday.. Isn't this image ADORABLE. It is a sneak peek at a new release. I colored him with copics and then highlighted with prisma pencils. If you have not tried this do.. It is such an amazing way to get some depth in your color. Plus the prismas blend so nicely on the copics. Don't do it the other way around. The wax on the pencils will ruin your copics.. Ask me how I know.

This weeks challenge is a sketch. I posted a little early. Go check it out.

Remembering 9/11

Just wanted to reflect today and remember all of the fallen heros of 9/11/2001. I will never forget that day. I had an 18 day old baby. My girls were at school. My husband was in Conneticut. He called me to tell me the news. I watched with horror as I held my new baby boy. I pray for world peace today....

Clear Dollar Stamps New Release

This week Clear Dollar Stamps released this adorable set. It is perfect for the fall season. The one thing I love about this set is the sentiments. They are super. I used my watercolor paper for this one. I have not watercolored in ages. I use Fabriano 100% cotton Acquarello watercolor paper. It is 140 lbs weight and it is cold pressed. It is by far the best paper I have seen. It is not a true white but it is close. I get it at Dick Blick online. It is expensive but it goes a long way..

Here is my second card that I made with this set. This time I used Prisma Pencils and GooGone. I love this sentiment. I think this will be my card for the "thank" ful season.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend (for those in the US) Go check out CDS weekend color challenge. Shawne is hosting and she always has such great color challenges.

Pumpkin Cowgirl

I created this for several challenges today. It is always great to combine challenges on one card. This week on our Twisted Sister's challenge we were to pick a card of another Sistah and recreate it. I picked one created by Pat Smethers. Mine looks nothing like hers but I chose the western them. Second challenge was the Ways To Use it "sand it". Julia is sad that the end of summer and beach "sand" is near. I used a sanding block around the edges and on the background.

Lastly, have you seen the DT call over on the Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential Blog. Go check it out. Vicki is looking for some Spotlight Divas. All you have to do is create a card and email it to her using one of the past 30 Hidden Potential challenges. She has a Saturday Challenge and it really makes you think outside the box.
