Just wanted to reflect today and remember all of the fallen heros of 9/11/2001. I will never forget that day. I had an 18 day old baby. My girls were at school. My husband was in Conneticut. He called me to tell me the news. I watched with horror as I held my new baby boy. I pray for world peace today....
I'll never forget that either, and I pray we never do. My son was 15 months old and our daughter was 23 days old. My husband joined the military just months after that.
ReplyDeleteHi Dawn - I remember the day that 'changed the world' and continues to do so daily. I remember being so shocked when I turned on the News in the morning and saw the footage - I too pray for world peace - even more, the peace of God!! Thanks Dawn for sharing this moment, your phototgraph is so very moving!! God bless you my friend!
ReplyDeleteDawn, the American flag still puts a lump in my throat, and this photograph is beautiful. I am glad you made a tribute today, not that we could ever forget. But it is good to remember and pray for our country and those who serve to protect us.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of us will ever forget where we were or what we were doing when we saw or heard what happened that day. Or, how we felt. Even after all these years, just seeing the pictures evoke all those memories for me. I'll be praying as you will today.
ReplyDeleteDawn,

A beautiful tribute Dawn! None of us will ever forget! I was just leaving for work and could not believe my eyes! I was glued to the TV and didn't want to leave. NO one came into the office that day! Thank you for the moment to reflect!
