Have a great day...
Hugs,
Dawn
I have a little group of friends that do a challenge each Friday. This week we were to create a card that reminded us of one of these friends and then try to guess who it was each one cased. I love this card. I cased it from my friends gallery. She had been inspired by card that the wonderful Cammie had made. I used sand paper for the sand. Cut out the image. Tore my ocean pieces and brushed them with white craft ink. Colored and paper pieced the lady and her dog. Ooops I cut off the dogs leash. He is a good dog. LOL
This weeks HM blog challenge was to make a shaped card. I decided to make a carrot to go with this image. I got the pattern from SCS (of course). It is a carrot that opens at the top. I guess it isn't actually a shaped card but I thought it was cute. You can view the challenge here...
Yesterday Jenn hosted the color challenge. I was stumped but the Summer Sun and RHR reminded me of strawberries so off I went. Love this Whipper Snapper image. He just makes me smile. I made the strawberry and filled it with a kiss. You can get the pattern and tutorial here. Colored my strawberries ( stamp is from Firecracker Designs) with GooGone and Prismapencils on Kraft paper. Fun colors.
This is not my norm. I struggle with scenery. I embossed with craft ink and clear ep. This was made for a challenge amongst a group of SCS friends. We were to make a get well card with a humor twist. Found this sentiment on the net. Watercolored with reinkers. Made the background using the Faux Wood technique.
I am having so much fun using all my whimsical stamps. I got this awesome rolled flower from my sweet friend MariLynn. She sent me a little bag of them. They are so cute. I had seen another friend add pearls to her sheep so I CASED hers. Love this image. So fun. I had a hard time tying that ribbon so the words would show. LOL.
Made this card for Mothermark's teapot tuesday challenge. You can visit her blog to see this awesome TEAPOT.
I colored this image this weekend while sitting out in the warm sunshine. It has been gorgeous here. I am loving this time of year for a change. This is colored with Prismacolor pencils and GooGone. I used my new paper from SU. I am so loving these fun papers from the Pink Flamingo Pack. Added Faux stitching with my sewing machine. Added some CC ribbon and call it good. Thanks so much for visiting...
Quick card today. I made this for a little challenge we have on SCS. One layer, one ribbon, one punch. This image is an RAK from a friend. I think this is such a fabulous way to have a variety of images and not spend all that money. She is so sweet. Have a great weekend. It is 60 here already.
I made this card for Mothermarks Teapot Tuesday challenge. I love this punched cardinal. All the goodies to make it are from a dear and kind SCS friend. It is a ballon punch cut and shaped into the cardinal. Super easy. I made another crimped envelope pocket card. I will send this to my sister for her birthday. The link to Cindy's challenge is on my side bar. Check it out...
Wow did we get walloped here in the southeast. I think it shut everything down. Decided I could probably get away with one more snowman card. This is for the technique lovers challenge on SCS. Make a crimped envelope holder. Fun fun... This set is a gift from my friend Grace. It has all the things I love. Snowmen and birds. Colored with GooGone and pencils. Added the Martha Stewart punch at the top with some ribbon and called it good.
