Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge

This week Lisa challenged us to use PINK.. for breast cancer awareness month. I kept mine simple. This awesome sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps and is perfect for this card. It is in the Church Chatter set.

This is a cause near and dear to me. My mom was an oncology nurse and founded the very first hospice in our county back in IL. She cared for hundreds of patients.
I just cannot even imagine what it must be like for  all of you that have lived the cancer journey. I have so many friends that have fought the fight. ON my card today is ribbon from my sweet friend Traci whose husband has battled. The paper on the inside of my card is from my sweet friend Peggy whose sister lost her battle. A few weeks ago I got to visit with my friend Darlene whose husband is fighting his battle right now. My friend Michelle and her mom just made an amazing quilt for a young child struggling with cancer.  I commend not only the patients but all of you that help them at this scary and difficult time.
SO this card is dedicated to all of you women out there that care for your loved ones with this disease. Hugs to all of you..

  25. A wonderful tribute Dawn. I don't know hardly anyone who hasn't been touched by this... losing my sister at 42 was one of the hardest things I ever had been through to that point and of course as I get older I have lost so many more dear friends, especially this year. Lovely words and lovely card!

  28. A very beautiful post Dawn and a wonderful card too. Your words will certainly comfort those who are fighting the battle and the carers too. I know how much the strengthening words of friends meant to me when we were going through this last year with Mike, there will be many who'll appreciate them. Hugs, Chris
