There She Goes Mini Blog Hop

It is day 3 of the New Release week at There She Goes.. Today we are showing some sneak peaks of 2 new mini sets being released on Saturday. This set is called Stick Together.
Here is the card I created.  I used the snowflakes to make a button out of sculpey clay.  I rolled out the clay and then cut out a circle with a spice bottle top.   I carefully stamped the sculpey with one of the snowflake stamps. I then took a large needle and made a circle large enough for my hemp.  I baked it at 275 degrees for 15 minutes.   This gave me a custom button for my card.
I then used the rest of the snowflakes to create my own patterned paper with craft ink and SU Kraft paper.

Now it is off to Gretchen's blog for some more fantastic sneak peeks.. Thanks so much for joining us.  If at any time you get lost just go back to There She Goes blog for the next link..

Mo's Digital Challenge Fancy Folds

This week at Mo's Digital challenge Sandy was our hostess and she
challenged us to create a card with a fancy fold.  I used this sweet image
called Charity.. She looks so happy heading home with hear basket of
goodies.. The fold I created I found here..It is called a side step card.  I adjusted
my image in photoshop so that it would be small enough to fit on the
left side.  I then added a half an inch on the left side of my card so it
all fit together.  The sentiment reads:

May your home be filled with happiness, may your hearts be overflowing
with love, as we give thanks for Thy blessings above.

Now it is your turn.. You can use any Mo image and created a fancy fold then go to Mo's
Challenge Blog and add it to Mr. Linky..

Have a fantastic weekend,

There She Goes Blog Hop Card Boxes

Today is the start of There She Goes Release Party Week..  We are starting today with
this Card Box Hop.  These awesome boxes are so fun to work with..
Jessica has a fabulous tutorial and template HERE.  She challenged us to
decorate these boxes.  I made mine into a recipe box for my college daughter..
I used Jessica's template and this fun dp.  I covered all of the seams with
masking tape (per Jessica's) tutorial and then painted it black.. What a
great idea.  I then painted the inside an off white with acrylic paint.
Jessica made hers into a card box and she said it will hold 40 or more cards.
This would make an incredible Christmas gift at a very affordable price.  They are

available at There She Goes.  Now on to Gretchen's blog for more card boxes.

House Mouse and Friends Challenge

This is a set of cards I made for the House Mouse and Friends Blog DT challenge.  We were to take the same image and use it twice.  The first time we were to create a simple card with the image being the focal point.
The second card we were to really go OVER THE TOP.. use designer paper, layers, glitter and lots of extras.  This is what I came up with.   These candy canes took me forever to color.  It is amazing what a difference the extras make.  I colored the top card with prisma pencils.  This card was colored with copics and I used my prisma pencils to highlight..

Lots of coloring but I love any House Mouse image.. They are so fun to create with.. I now have 2  more Christmas cards completed.  Thanks so much to the HM team for giving me this opportunity.. Good luck to all of the participants..

Banana Split Sunday

It's Banana Split Sunday over at 2Redbananas.  This week our challenge is a recipe
and you are to use the color red, 3 buttons, and a square.  I made my card square,
added buttons to my snowman and my ribbon.  This adorable image is
a new release for this month.. Come on over and join in on the fun..
Create a card and add it to Mr Linky..

Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential

This weeks challenge over at Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential Vicki challenged us to make a treat container.  I chose this triangle container.  I used my new There She Goes Stamp set Spooktacular Silhouettes

I sponged the green, yellow and orange ink onto glossy cardstock first. Then I scored all of my lines and then stamped with STAZON onto my cardstock.. By doing it this way I was able to create a better scene..
Here is a link to a tutorial that Beate did.. TRIANGLE BOX

Well, that's it for my creations ... NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!! Be sure to DIRECT LINK your creation to Mr. Linky over on our Challenge Blog and when uploading to other online galleries, please use the keyword SSHP04. This week's sponsor is FireCracker Designs and they are generously giving away not one but TWO free stamp sets to this week's winner!!!

Apple Dumplings

Today I created just for fun.. I had made this apple basket and thought this image was
perfect for the image. I cut out the little strips and weaved them in and out..
Then I sponged on some Chocolate Chip ink on the edges.  I colored in my sweet
Tania Baking from Belle's N Whistles for the front of the basket.  This was for the LSC which was to make
a "girlie" card and for my little group of sistahs on SCS which was to use apples, red,
brown and gold.

I have a recipe for you to try.. It is my MIL's secret apple dumplin recipe..It is so yummy
I made it yesterday.
Apple Dumplings
2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1/4 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg
1/4 c. butter
Mix together to make syrup. Set aside
Pare 6 apples and then make crust:
2 c. flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
Sift flour, salt and baking powder, cut in shortening.  Add milk
and mix
Roll crust 1/4 in think and cut into 5 in. squares.
Add apples in the middle with a tsp of butter and little bit of cinnamon
and sugar.  Fold corners to the center and pinch edges together
Place 1 in apart in greased pan.  Pour syrup over them and bake
at 375 for 35 minutes.  ( I did mine longer as I don't like crunchy apples)

It is so easy and so good.  The syrup will be thin but it thickens as it cooks and cools.

Mo's Digital Challenge #3

This is the project I created this week for Mo's Digital Challenge.  Sandy was the hostess.  She challenged us to make anything BUT a card.  This is a picture frame and snow globe I made for my sister and niece for Christmas.  I bought the frame at Michaels for $1.99.  I had a 40% off coupon.  I also bought acrylic paint and painted the frame.  I colored my SNOWMAN image from Mo's Digital Pencil and then covered the snowflake part of the frame with designer paper and Modge Podge.  Added my colored image behind it.

I added the sentiment to the snowman's tummy in PhotoShop.
Then I wanted to create a little something for my niece too.  I had this snow globe I got at Walmart last year so I resized the same snowman and printed and colored it again.  I added it to the globe for my niece.  She loves sparkles.

Here is a close up of the globe all shook up.  I found this globe in the Photo section at Christmas time last year.  I added a strip of dp on the bottom.  Total cost of this gift was under $5 and I think she will love it. I signed the back of the picture and will send this off to them.  Come on over to the challenge blog and join in. You could win a digital image of your choice.

Treemendous

I created this card for 2 challenges.. The first one is a little Teapot Party challenge
that is on SCS.  MariLynn hosted this week and asked us to create a PINK card that had a
breast cancer awareness theme.
The second challenge is over on the There She Goes Blog.  Maki challenged us to use dry
embossing.  I  love my embossing folders.  I rarely use this one.  I stamped my Treemendous tree and add punched hearts.

Banana Split Sunday

I created this for several challenges.  I chose this image and the layout for the Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast.  Dancerriley was the FS today and her gallery is awesome.  The second challenge was for Banana Split Sunday.. We had a sketch challenge.  The last challenge was for the House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge to create a card based on a movie.  I chose this one and found that there was a movie in 1957 called Wild Strawberries..hehe.. I think that fits..

Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge

This week Lisa challenged us to use PINK.. for breast cancer awareness month. I kept mine simple. This awesome sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps and is perfect for this card. It is in the Church Chatter set.

This is a cause near and dear to me. My mom was an oncology nurse and founded the very first hospice in our county back in IL. She cared for hundreds of patients.
I just cannot even imagine what it must be like for  all of you that have lived the cancer journey. I have so many friends that have fought the fight. ON my card today is ribbon from my sweet friend Traci whose husband has battled. The paper on the inside of my card is from my sweet friend Peggy whose sister lost her battle. A few weeks ago I got to visit with my friend Darlene whose husband is fighting his battle right now. My friend Michelle and her mom just made an amazing quilt for a young child struggling with cancer.  I commend not only the patients but all of you that help them at this scary and difficult time.
SO this card is dedicated to all of you women out there that care for your loved ones with this disease. Hugs to all of you..

Mo's Digital Challenge #2

I created this card for
Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge .  This week Sandy challenged the DT to make a card with a Fall theme and only use two embellishments.

I love these two images.  One is Kai playing in leaves and the other one is Mummu's Laundry. I resized the images in Photoshop and merged them together.  If you do this please be sure to leave Mo's signature somewhere in the picture.  I then colored them with Prisma Pencils and Copics.  I quilted my background but it is hard to tell.. This amazing quilt rack is from my sweet friend Grace.  Her and her hubby made it for me for my birthday.  She got the idea from the ever talented Debbie Olson.  I am also adding this to the SCS gallery for Ways To Use challenge.  Julia challenged us to use leaves.

Mo's Dream Team is having a blog hop today.. Go check it out. The talent is amazing.  The first stop is Lori's Blog.

There's Magic In The Air blog.. I printed it on PTI white with my inkjet printer.. I then let it dry for a day.. I colored it with copics and prisma pencils.. If you do this just be careful when you color near the edges of the lines with the copics.. Don't soak the paper. It will smear.  Head on over for this free image. The challenge this week is to add a 3D element to your image.  I used dazzling diamonds.   Create a project or card and add it to Mr Linky.
